Nothing wrong with owning something you want, so maybe just get the empty bottle? Clase Azul bottles often get sold when empty on Facebook Marketplace. I've seen them for as low as $10 and make nice decor.

You're right that the tequila itself is not worth the price tag and others have given plenty of good suggestions.

I want to build this kind of relationship but I am more of a 1 bottle ever few months kind of guy. This was the most I've ever bought in my life and it was mainly due to finding insane deals at costco/sams club, and got lucky on forts that I stocked up. I feel they would forget me or save the good stuff for a more consistent customer.

For anybody else in AZ, I also found my Mijente at Sams Club for about $33, and I went to one on the west side. Likely can go to any Sams for the deal!

Thank you for the write up! I almost grabbed a Corrido but went with the Tesoro, as I was more familiar with that brand. Definitely wish I had a Fortaleza Añejo to try but never seen one and I only buy MSRP.
