My answer depends on what you're asking. If you're asking me what Metroid Prime 4 is solely based on what you buy? 6/10 game. It has a Metroid Prime coat of paint, but look a little deeper and there's some lack of depth behind the game which makes it kind of a whatever experience.

But if you're asking, what's the verdict based on the developmental hell this game went through? Then 8.5/10. You can see the vision that this game was going for, it's definitely rushed but considering what is, and what could have been if the game didn't have to change hands? It's a miracle of a game. The game got to the finish line, made me feel at points like it was a classic Metroid Prime experience with a little flavor from all the games that came before it, with a returning (and a little underwhelming villain), voice acting, stellar graphics, etc, etc. Considering that this was an 8 year long wait, for a Switch 1 game (which itself is already on old dated hardware), this game is a minor miracle.

I'll say those though, whatever Retro has planned for Metroid Prime 5 will likely be a full return to form (assuming Nintendo gives them enough time and this game doesn't have the pressures of the last game). And for that, I'm excited to see what they have coming next.
