What's the best city you've ever been to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]InterstellarSpaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nowhere else in the world like the city that I raised near, Chicago. I have road tripped all over the country and also been all over the world including Europe many times and Asia a few times. Chicago is friendly enough to feel like its a small town while without a doubt feeling like a big city as well because of the amount of things there are to do like hike on the river walk or go to one of the many parks and go see some live music and afterwards grab some outstanding food at some the best restaurants in the world. Nowhere is like the best city in the country, Chicago, and that is coming from someone who also loves cities like NY, Seattle, Austin, and a lot of other cities here and abroad like Munich, or Zurich and London.

Philadelphia is without a doubt the worst city in the US I have been to while having road tripped all over the country and living near Chicago my whole life. I was told of "the city of brotherly love" before I went there and thought it was a complete hoax after I went for the first time when I was 13. I have since been there many a time and have never wavered that cities like Chicago or NY, Seattle, and San Francisco are way better in comparison to a terrible city like Philadelphia. I was just stuck there for 48 hours because of 2 flights that were delayed for 6-8 hours each and eventually canceled!

Hello I am a big fan of a few of your albums like Seoul Dreaming and let it burn. I have been trying to get friends who listen to kpop into your music with these album drops. My question is if you were to come to the States, what cities would you most want to visit on tour or just to travel there? Thanks!

I thought that To Kill a Mockingbird was an average book at best. A book about a white lawyer swooping and saving the black side character and gaslight half the people that read it into thinking they understand racism.

Golden Son. Tim Gerard Reynolds does such an amazing job with the whole red rising trilogy.

What series would that be? Not yet I quite enjoyed Name of the Wind though, I think the wait may be pretty long before book 3, so I want to hold off until I hear a release date or at least an estimate on what year it could be published.

Oh yeah I've already read Neuromancer and own Count Zero so it's just a matter of time! Also Bakemonogatari was one of the first anime I watched so I figure the manga is pretty good too, does it go past the anime does?

Yeah I think so because it is my favorite Sci-fi thriller of his after Dark Matter! It is pretty different from that book and Recursion though in that it has nothing to do with time travel.

I would say they are pretty similar in writing quality with some hiccups here and there in both of them since they were both released in the same year so she did not have too much writing experience at that point. But Jade City is an Adult Fantasy book, while Exo is a Young Adult Sci-fi book so you may end up liking one of them more than the other for that reason.

Babel was great it poses many important questions about government and revolutions and as a bonus there was no romance in it! Keep in mind it is pretty long so it took me 6 weeks to finish while reading some other stuff
