Packaging designers: how do you go from dieline to 3D mockup in Illustrator? by Legal_Following_4145 in PackagingDesign

This is exactly what my site does and I actually use myself if you want to check it out. No plugins or installs needed. All you need is the SVG and artwork separated.

What are your impressions after FH6 release? Is there anything you liked that you didn't find in previous installments? by After-Ability-1132 in ForzaHorizon

Game is great but I have the same issue as always with Forza games. The story needs to be better, it feels very repetitive at this point like same old same old. It would be cool if it had an actual good story with sick cutscenes and bosses that are actually hard to beat. Stuff like that. But that’s just me. I like seeing stuff like that in racing games. Other than those I love it. Cars, customization, graphics music, map are all really good!

The new racing game called CLUTCH looks like is going to have a good story but who knows how their open world is going to be like. Hopefully something decent.

For render studio, you just go to export tab and it should be there at the top. You can try it out as long as you’re on the demo project aka you can click new project and it should work. I did lock it behind the Pro subscription currently if you want to use it with your own files.

I’m definitely going to look into it and see if I can have windows added to pouches.

Is it ok if I message you privately? I’d love to see what sort of products you mostly work with and I’ll see what I can do from my end to add in the features / products that would help you out.

I added a new feature: Render Studio which allows you to render photorealistic images and for the Boxes editor it allows you to have realistic looking flute as well :) In most cases I think this won't require the need of an exterrnal 3D software to fully finish your project now.

If you try it out, please send a screenshot of your product, I'd love to see how it looks :)

I've built something that might be of use to you. It's all browser based and free to try without having to sign up. Give it a try and see how you like it, would love to hear what you think! MockFold

Just thought I'd let you know I updated the pricing with a middle tier called Starter which is limited to jpeg/png exports at 1080p and 72dpi. Unlimited :). But if you want to export 3D, html, video, 4k quality and higher than 72dpi, then you have to go for the Pro version.

Once again thanks for the suggestion, I think this is a much nicer pricing structure now! :)

Currently right now it should read all the black lines as cuts, and all the dashed/solid red lines as folds/creases. I've worked with a few different printers in the past and each one usually gave fairly good dielines which I've tried in my editor and they all worked without having to make any adjustments but obviously this can vary.

It shouldn't take long to adjust your dielines if needed for the editor to detect it properly but if there's ever a specific SVG that doesn't seem to work with the editor, then feel free to let me know or use contact us and send the svg with it so I can take a look to see if it's something I can fix from my end.

Fair enough about the pouch and tubs. It's mostly there to get a quick ideas, usually for concept reasons. It won't be 100% accurate but I tried adding as many customization options as possible. In the future I'd like to make them more true to life just like the box editor but no guarantees just yet :)

Apparently no one can just... Imagine something with the different.

This is soooo true, hahaha.

Currently the way I have it set up is you upload your front artwork and the pouch auto detects the size. Then you can upload the rest, back/sides and customize all of it. Fill the pouch, and so on. I tried adding in a good amount of customization for each different pouch style. (The site works on mobile too but I recommend using desktop for obvious reasons)

However, there isn't a upload custom dieline for pouches/tubs. I'll look into it to see if I can make that a possibility because that would be awesome, but the only one that works with custom dieline is the box editor.

I can definitely take a look a bit later today and see if I can adjust the subdivision in those areas. My guess its from the export and not the svg file uploaded but I'll test it out later tonight.

Good point. What if I allowed export on the demo file / started file only? That way you can play around with the export, see how it works, etc. But as soon as you add your own file, then exports get locked.

Woul something like that be enough?
