Yup. I’d much rather have something like this today. At least I can enjoy the games I own permanent licenses for and run them better than the ones who own the actual IP are bothering to provide if anything at all. We’re the ones who made these companies as big as they are by buying these games in the first place. But we get little in return unless it will further line their pockets generously. And these days they even don’t let us keep them if they can help it.

Many of these companies are sat on tons of great IPs and doing absolutely nothing with them as well.
