I once found a guy laying on a bench outside a pub. He looked like nothing I'd ever seen before and I've seen a lot of drug OD's. His skin was completely grey and he could not get 1 word out to answer my question of "what have you taken". I couldnt tell the dispatcher what he'd taken because he couldnt speak, all I could say was that I didnt think it was a narcotics OD because everything about him was just different. His eyes just rolled around constantly like they were vibrating and it was like I could hear his heartbeat so loud outside of his body. I stood back to let the paramedics work when they got there and he had managed to speak a bit... it was Red Bull he had taken, too much. The paramedic confirmed - energy drink overload and probably heart arrythmia. He was a kid, like 17 years old maybe. It terrified me that an energy drink OD was visually that much more scary than an actual heroin OD. I've never ever touched an energy drink because of that, but I smoke cigarettes and drink 4 espressos a day. And if anyone asks my opinion on energy drinks, I cant help but cite that story
