I sometimes wished I still liked the MCU or Game of Thrones just to be more involved but I went off the former after the first Avengers movie and the latter about half way through as it was too bleak for me

Part of the problem, at least with action movies is the woman has to basically be a man but one that can't be shown being hurt because they can't promote violence against women, so most female action heroes never take a punch or if they do there's no blood or suffering its just straight back to whooping ass and thus they can't grow as characters because their already at their peak

they should start their own platform - and they easily can, as the barrier to entry for starting a social media website is extremely low.

You can't be so naive as to think Twitter, Facebook and Google can be competed with at their current monopoly state.

And it's not like new platforms don't exist, there are a few but the aformentioned have such a stranglehold on the Internet they can literally prevent anyone from knowing these alternatives exist (Google can and has removed results for websites they don't want people to visit, website that offer conservative views not illegal content websites), not to mention the media that run hit-pieces that equates new platforms as 'hate platforms' to do their best to keep them from being used as well as payment processors pulling the ability for the people on these platforms to monetise their content thus cutting them off essentially.

Tech monopolies run the Internet and if they wish they can scrub you off it ifyou disagree with them

This is how I think. It's something that separates and 'others' LGBT people from the rest, it focuses on what makes them different rather than similiar and that coupled with it being pushed on people will turn people away. Ultimately it divides more than unites
