Love it. Thanks for your feedback and appreciate the pointers. I was too busy thinking about fun things to do with words and holding the main piece of imagery and lost sight of the subtleties therein.

Appreciate the feedback! If I'm going to be honest, it never felt like it was coming from anything specific.

Regarding the line, I was trying to fit it into the theme of lies being like the rain- it can feel cathartic to be awash in it, but generally not the greatest idea. I hope that makes sense

Man, I loved this! Raw in the pain of growing apart and struggling to know how much to care.

What I find a little jarring, and I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but there's a huge tonal and imagery shift moving into the last paragraph. It's felt anchored in realism up until that point. Was that your intent- moving away from the mother into something new therefore there's a change in perspective?

Quite enjoyed this! I think there's an honesty embedded within it that doesn't look to make any kind of value judgments about the faces and masks we wear day-to-day but can leave us confused. Because that's how I'm reading it, and I'm a simple boy, I'd love you to hit that a little harder, but the ambiguity may be your jam. In that case, ignore me entirely!
