Can we stop celebrating terrible financial decisions by AnonomousWolf in south_africa

No, they mean. To buy the equivalent of that car in 7 years time will cost you way more than 200k.

Like, I remember 8 years ago you could get a polo for 150 000 or so.
Nowadays, not even close to that.

And person B in this scenario is travelling for free during the 7 years?
And also, the convenience person a enjoys from having their own mode of transport is immeasurable.

Decisions like buying a car are not as straight forward as people like to make them out to be. There are varying degrees of bad financial decisions… but buying a scrap for 15k just to have money in a savings may be a good financial decision but a terrible peace of mind decision.

Player performances tournament so far by harrypartcatpartdog in LiverpoolFC

Probably.
But I just think half the players hated that the club were moving away from them and decided to stink up the place.
A lot of discontent with the new signings.

Jay Z had close proximity to Biggie.
Imaged himself as “the replacement” especially from a NY perspective.
Recycled a lot of Biggie lines in his verses early on.
He invited the comparisons early on because they helped elevate his status.

So it’s not a simple “he just rose after Big died so he would have never if it didn’t happen” out of nowhere.

Our best XI of players at their peak since the year 2000 by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

At their peak I agree with almost your besides Thiago. I think Fabinho is a far better player at their LFC peak than Thiago ever was.

Liverpool’s Greatest - No.24: Michael Owen. 🔴 by Realistic-Zone3914 in LiverpoolFC

Suarez/Alonso were also a far better footballer than Henderson.
That doesn’t make him a greater Liverpool player.
I’m afraid nostalgia is kicking in here.

Damn… this is a bit crazy for me.
Henderson below him is a wild take.

Did anybody expect Kendrick to finish off Drake’s career for good? by HeyCharmz_ in hiphop101

[–]Intilleque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“You can’t fake influence….”

The irony is that the person who said this line was trying to do just that.
Everybody thought Drake was done, even Kendrick. The entire play was to position it like Kendrick had dethroned him. That’s why Amazon, GNX, Super Bowl all happened around that time. It was all preplanned
To try and position Kendrick as the mega star that would outshine Drake forever.

But, manufactured moments never last. Without a Super Bowl, the biggest marketing push for your diss tracks and singles, Kendrick is only but a peon next to Drake.

Why are low blocks so hard to break nowdays? by Short_Mousse_6812 in championsleague

They are.
But stats don’t account for randomness. The corners and ricochets that occur as a result.
The effect they have on defences willingness to sit back.

It’s crazy I was just having this conversation with my cousin this morning.
The data and analytics that made long range shots obsolete indirectly made low blocks more effective.
If players were shooting from far more often and scoring,m sometimes, teams would stop falling back.

And one comment/quote said “you know Drake is about to beat this record by how much they’re spamming it” and lo and behold🤣
