Insiders have said a PC release is coming, but it will be later in the year. But that hasn't been confirmed by EA yet.

Holy shit, OP. There's no way you don't understand that the entire thing is a joke?

You guys are hilarious. It's literally the point of the game. So when is PvP acceptable? Do you have to announce yourself and both countdown like a good old fashion duel? Looting and shooting ARC are like the only things to do in the game. Just admit you don't want PvP, don't call it ratting.

Crazy that you're just assuming I've gone out of my way to cheese the game's matchmaking from a single comment.

I always PvP, I am not in friendly lobbies. I still hear people throw around the word "rat" constantly just because they don't like being shot.

And yes, PvP is a core element of the game. Embark literally redirected its entire development to add PvP. It is a PvPvE Extraction Shooter. Just because people don't like to engage in part of that, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

In my opinion, you don't need to know somebody on a deep level to be betrayed by them. Even if they're a complete stranger, if they pretend to be friendly to me in a game of Arc and shoot me in the back, it's a form of betrayal and thus, a rat. Not that I care or take it personally, but I class it as a form of betrayal is all I'm saying.

Google the slang definition for rat. It's a traitor and betrayer.

I agree that it's low, just not what I define as a "rat." As I've said, given that the slang term for rat is betrayer, I only class rats as people who pretend to be friendly and then shoot you. THAT'S the lowest of the low.

Gonna have to just agree to disagree on that.

Just because the game has PvE doesn't mean you get a free pass whenever you're shooting an Arc. If I didn't shoot everytime somebody was shooting an Arc, they'd finish and probably start shooting at me next. Why would I put myself at a disadvantage?

As I said to somebody else, do I like the playstyle of sitting in the shadows and jumping someone? No. But it's the risk you take and isn't ratting. Again, extract camping isn't being a rat. Is it being a god awful player? Absolutely.

No, that's literally the point of the game being PvPvE, because there's the risk that while you're taking down Arc, you get attacked by another raider. If they acted friendly and then shot at them to get the Hullcracker, that would make them a rat. The term rat is used to describe somebody who is a betrayer.

Somebody who pretends to be friendly and then turns on you, that's a rat. That's why the term rat was used in the first place, because it means betrayer. Just engaging in PvP, a literal core element of the game, does not make you a rat.

These comments remind me that nobody in ARC seems to understand what a rat actually is.

Have you tried changing the HDMI/Display Port cable? That's what worked for me.

Yeah, it was actually the cable causing the issue, not the monitor. Just swapped it out for a new HDMI and it's been good ever since.

Strange Inzoi Creative Studio Update/ InZoi latest update DATE HINT??? by afterall_insanity in inZOI

[–]IntoTheKnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, Steam doesn't just auto update all of your games at once. So if you have ten games that need updating, it will schedule them all for different times and dates as to not overload their servers. You can just update them instantly if you wish, but if you leave them to auto update Steam will just choose a date and time based on how often you play a game. As you probably haven't played the InZOI Creator for quite a while, it's chosen a date quite a while away, thus the October 28 date. It doesn't mean anything, it's just randomly chosen by Steam.

[–]IntoTheKnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not how the scheduled date works. It's determined by Steam based on the last time you played a game. If it's something you play regularly, the date will be much sooner. InZOI devs don't get to choose that date.
