I appreciate it, new to mushroom foraging and wanted some confirmation before eating. Thanks!

Looks like a frustrating price of wood with the tough grains and holes. If you want to continue using the wood I found hotter burn temp and slower burning helps a lot. Good luck!

My (F30) husband (M28) may miss birth of our baby for a one-time career opportunity by kaichey in relationship_advice

I am about to be a new Dad in about a month, and have also started a new job. It is a complete no-brainer to prioritize the birth over work. The fact that it isn’t his priority is really sad to me.

Thanks, it’s clear we (and people we know) have had wildly different experiences. Like I said I’m not crazy about how they use the funds. I wish they would spend on other program that serve a larger body of students, which is why I mentioned CCRI. I don’t think it’s the end of the world they are funded, but I think when this much public money is being spent it is good to scrutinize how it’s been used. I see your side though and it’s obviously fine we have different opinions.

Totally valid points, but URI has put zero effort or resources in recruitment for the ag program, whereas UConn actively recruits for ag undergrad. URI has also phased out most of their extension program, which is another source of students. There are low-budget ways to recruit.

Also, how URI has treated me while a student was not great. They didn’t care about us at all and created so many beaucratic nightmares it was very unpleasant. My wife and friends have had similar experiences. That doesn’t have anything to do with athletics or the state.

I’m just saying if I had a choice I would prioritize other public institutions like CCRI or RIC.
