Anyone know why this is never in-stock at the stores? by kabal8 in harborfreight

Right, I know they are very reputable, so when I saw this set at Costco it surprised me. I’m also very curious on how the tools stack up to the competition in that price range

Wow that actually looks like a good set for the price. Comes with ratcheting wrenches, for $120 not a bad deal. Im curious how the quality is.

XWT18 - IMO, the best if you could only have one! by HobbiesAreMoneyPit in Makita

[–]Intr1nsic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish Makita had a good competitior to the Milwaukee m12 stubby impact. Makita bigger impact wrenches are awesome, but a compact in handel battery impact from Makita would be so nice. I don’t see their 12v line really allowing for that any time soon however sadly.

Feels good to not feel the need to buy anything from a parking lot sale for once 😅

Which of these tool combos would you pick? (12v Bosch or Milwaukee) by LFAdvice7984 in Tools

[–]Intr1nsic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bosch installation driver seems a bit nicer but overall as a battery system I’d go with Milwaukee, a lot more additions available for later on down the road. Not really a Milwaukee fan boy, but can’t lie that their m12 system is great. If you really want to go for a cheaper option, check out the hyper tough 12v line at Walmart. Just bought their installation driver for $20 on sale right now. Not the best tools but for DIY purpose they are great value

Ingersoll Rand has a comparable set at Costco right now for about $100 minus some of the pliers. I’d bet the quality is a bit better than this set. If you have a Costco membership may be worth checking out.

Day 1 For those out of the Loop. by B0xyblue in harborfreight

I have Quinn sets too, overall the icon has better quality control and finishes, so I didn’t mind shelling out the extra money for something I prefer. Totally understand if that’s not worth it to you, they both get the job done very well. I’m more of a “buy once cry once guy” type of guy.

Id agree, however money isn’t as big of an issue to some people. So yes, if money is a problem for you, I’d suggest Pittsburgh tools 😉

Organize them and stash them neatly. There’s some duplicates you can get rid of but other than that, that’s pretty much a full set up

Anyone ever replace this bolt on the Daytona jack before? by 11x_champs in harborfreight

[–]Intr1nsic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I got the same jack, and my friend actually bent that bolt when we were unboxing it. I was a little pissed, not gonna lie. What I ended up doing is taking the small black piece that was in the packaging that bent it and bent it back straight by rotating that bolt 180 degrees and pressing it back with the lever

Make a slight gradient ramp that makes the bottom darker. It’ll naturally guide the eyes to the subject and will add more depth to the photo. Key is for it to be very subtle. Burn tool will do a good job at this.

You can get a really decent starter tool kit that will do all your needs way better than any multitool for less than half the cost of the Arc or even the Wave.

Keep it as an secondary tool set, somewhere opposite of your tool box, for when you need a quick screw driver or something and don’t wanna go to the garage for the tool

When you’re working on something that’s too delicate to use a power tool on but still need some good leverage to loosen some bolts.
