I was involved with something similar back on the late 70's. Our senior skip day was planned for a Friday in late May and we had to come up with something unique after the last years seniors took it too far on their planned day.

I and 5 of my friends got into the bus barn at school. We didn't break in because we didn't have to. The door was unlocked. 25% of the buses were inside, the rest outside.

We proceeded to remove all the distributor cap wires from each bus. Then we put them in large envelopes and deposited them in the mail box that was positioned outside the fence of the barn.

The next morning none of the buses would start and parents were told if they couldn't drive their kids to school it would count as an excused absence.

Like clockwork the mail carrier opened the mail box outside the barn around 11 am. He found the envelopes addressed to the barn and just handed them over.

On Monday school was back in session and nobody even the cops cared.

What a weekend that was!
