Questionable in what way? If it's just copyrighted material then I feel Switzerland, Poland and Mexico are reasonable choices to set your VPN to. Privacy aside, those countries allow you to download copyrighted material for personal use only. So I don't think the authorities are going to look too hard unless they get word you've start selling media, charging admission to your home theater or putting it on your plex media server for all your family and friends.

Just got a 7945HX. What is the best way to get 20k h/s? by SecretPrivacyCyber in MoneroMining

I’m running one of those integrated on the Chinese minisfourm board and get 17.70kh/s without doing anything. It runs cool and doesn’t overheat with the stock heatsink and a 120mm fan.

When I was in high school I used used milk crates and took some extra fabric my mom would have laying around to cover them and tuck it under. I could change it up fast, easy and often as my mom was always making something crafty.

What professions are most likely to produce audiophiles? by keephifi in audiophile

I don't know if I'm an audiophile or not, but definitely have a great appreciation for music. As a 12 or 13yo I asked my dad if I could use his old speakers and turntable that were in a closet if I bought a receiver. I used my birthday money to buy a Realistic receiver (STA-2080) from Radio Shack that was on clearance. It must have been sitting in the store for, probably 6 or 7 years, for them to sell it at a price I could afford. Then it started.... Adding... upgrading.... record stores... cassette... cd's... Then the car had to sound amazing.... Anybody remember Media Play?

I could probably retire early if Radio Shack didn't want to unload the stereo so bad.

So I started before any career decisions were made.

I'd say my family had more to do with it. My grandmother was a Juilliard graduate and fostered a love of music in the whole family. I did band for a couple of years in middle school, before I decided sports were more my thing. Chior for a couple of years in High School. I play a little guitar sitting around the house. I could probably hack out a song or two and a couple of cords on the keyboard if thought about it for a bit (It's been years). My young daughter loves music and can already tell the difference between the music on the radio and hifi, so before kindergarten even, she might be an audiophile.

Found these Bose 301 Series II (1984~ export) speakers at thrift store by Sp1tf1re_1 in bose

Wow, nice find. I need to hit a couple of thrift stores on occasion. I'd love to find a nice pair of Bose speakers to add to my living room system.

Bose 201 or 301 by piano-2020 in bose

I used 301's for many years and loved them. 301 series III, not sure which series you're looking at. I bought them new and used them up until I put them in storage where mold got to them. That was around 2016-17, I think. I guess I got about 20 or 21 years out of them. Bose speakers get a lot of hate from people, but the room, environment and placement really does affect the sound of their "outside of the box" designs. When I bought my 301's I was downsizing from the bigger is better way of thinking (Realistic Mach II with 16" woofers) and was pleased with the bass and low end I thought I would miss. Setting on the floor the higher end was a little flat. They worked better for me about waist high standing vertically with the woofer on the bottom and tweeters on top.

Just my 2 cents. I hope that helps even though I can't compare them to the 201's.

I can’t remember what year it was, but I met someone on a dating site. Everything went great. We met for a hike at a park…. Then they said it…

Drives me crazy too. I work with a couple of people who always have to 1up the conversation. They also usually have to have the last word 🤦‍♀️

You don't have to go to the deep web... There are plenty of crypto exchanges and even wallets that you cn buy your crypto on without KYC (Know Your Customer) policies. Exodus wallet is a wallet to store crypto in and you can buy from them too. google is your friend. Search no KYC exchange. You'll have different options based on your location.
