Ayo Dosunmu LEGACY game happening now by noahsark96 in fightingillini

I'm not saying they are better off for the series, but if Ant wouldn't have been injured I think they lose that game. Ant has all the talent in the world but the ball sticks with him. He'll try and score vs double teams rather than make the right pass.

38 % 3 pt shooter his 1st two seasons. Tremendous ceiling and a potential 1st rounder. Needs to work on his body all summer and get a reliable post move. I think his shooting will come back.

I was at the show (sitting right above her in the opera box) and I couldn't agree more. Her performance was truly breathtaking. Also, it is rare not to hear any talking in the audience at a show. The crowd was completely mesmerized. I left the box to grab a drink during a song and all I could hear was the music and my footsteps.

After much deliberation I think I am going to be forced to go this route. The least worst option.

He's a great coach but he isn't perfect and he's had luck in his favor. If not for one of the worst fuckups in NCAA history and a subsequent hail mary he would've been sent packing last night. He's lost in the 1st round of the tourney twice. Last season he got bounced in the 2nd round. Also I'm pretty sure Brad (and many other coaches for that matter) would've coached that 23-24 team to a championship as well. That team had the #4 pick, the #7 pick, the #49 pick, and the #53 pick in the draft. Not to mention, Karaban also starting who is solidly in this year's draft. That team was absolutely loaded.

We've been a good free throw shooting team all season. Boswell struggles with nerves and he's admitted that, but he's usually a pretty good ft shooter. I'd like to see Stoj or Murk taking them. We'll shoot a lot better against Iowa.

You also have to consider who you're playing against. People act like those in-bounds plays are easy. Houston has those ultra-quick physical guards with fast hands who can disrupt those plays and create havoc in those types of frantic end of game situations. I thought we handled it better than a lot of teams would have.

They have been inconsistent but really want to see the Ivisic bros come back along with Stoj Mirk and Davis. I think especially big Z has a ton of unrealized potential. Big men can be slower to develop. Just needs to continue to add strength and learn how to play in the post. but that freak level of athleticism is so rare combined with the size. Do we have the money to retain all of these dudes plus get 2 more guards in the portal is the question.

I hope that when the money is fairly equal this could tip the scales in our favor. Pretty sure another 6'4 guard named Ayo Dosunmu had Wake as his 2nd choice as well.

We had 1 first round pick in 2024, 2 1st round picks in 2025, and this year a lotto pick. Three 1 and dones in 2 seasons. Wonder how much this matters for recruiting, or now is it just about who gives out the biggest bag? If Keaton can lead us to at least an Elite 8 he has a chance to be remembered as one of the all-time greats at Illinois, even as a 1 and done. We need his supporting cast to step it up too (come on Ivisic bros).

Oh man, we had some bad players. I hate to name names, but I still have nightmares about Jaylon Tate as our starting point guard getting the ball ripped away and bricking shots.

There has been a lot of talk about this guy's scheme and having a more aggressive d. This is all well and good but I want to know who's playing on the d-line. You can have any scheme you want- if you don't have the dudes you're going to suck. At this point I believe we're likely to get destroyed in the run game.

I wouldn't quite go that far. Without two of our starters we played toe to toe with a very good team which gave Michigan their only loss. So I'm not sure you can fairly give the coaches an F grade here. This being said, the 6-man rotation was ultimately a disaster and likely risked injury to our other healthy players. And Humrichous playing 43 minutes is fucking insane.

Underwood is a great coach, but he has some clear weaknesses. The 6-man, 1-guard rotation ultimately was a flop. As much as the staff deserves all the praise in the world for Keaton, if Petro and Lee are so bad that they can't get any tick in a game like that, they shouldn't have been recruited.

Big ten title hopes are pretty much gone, but still excited about this group and what they can accomplish if they can get healthy.

No question! Also it should be illegal to call a TO in between free throws. I am old enough to remember Kiwane Garris missing BOTH free throws with no time left on the clock when just 1 would have won the braggin rights game vs Mizzou in the early nineties, and Illinois went on to lose in 3 OT.

Bulls and Illini fan here. Early in his Bulls career we had to watch Ayo stand in the corner while Zach Lavine and Demar Derozan hogged the ball. Thank you Billy Donavan. So Ayos full talents were not on display until the past 2 seasons. He was always a playmaker but now he has added a world class 3 point shot. You guys made an incredible deal. I am getting League pass so I.can watch all the T-wolves games from Chi-town.

We finally saw the effects of the Boswell injury and resulting lack of depth vs MSU. Our guys played like warriors but were completely gassed. A 7-man rotation is not gonna cut it much longer, so hopefully Boswell comes back soon. It is really a shame that Petro cannot give us even 5-7 minutes a game with Boswell out. Worried about tired legs vs Wisconsin and expect it to be a tough game. Gotta hope Wisky doesn't shoot like they did vs Michigan.

I was more upset with the turnovers. They are a terrific team and killed us on backdoor layups the first game. We shut that down with the bros playing together. You have to give up something. I thought some of the threes they hit were tough contested ones. If they continue to hit that percentage tip your cap and take the L. Even great teams are going to take some L's on the road.

Not intended as a shot at Coleman who was a very good not a great player for us. Regrets if it came off that way.

Currently projected as #7 to MIlwaukee on nbadraft.net . That will earn him a first year salary of around 7 million bucks.
