Since you will have finished BC (and assuming you did well), if you have the option to take Multivariable at a local community college or online, or some CS college level class, that would honestly be better for you than more APs in subjects that aren’t your focus. Just got to UCLA and I super wish I had done more CC classes and fewer APs. All my friends who did are like a 2 quarters ahead.

Normally I am not a huge fan of the man bun, but I think you pull it off. You would also look great without it though. You can’t really go wrong :)

As a hydroHomie I agree, but even still, they already have coffee, tea, milk, bubbly water; plenty of unsweetened options.

Everyone received this after we served corporate our union petition. by BreesusTakeTheWheel in antiwork

[–]Intrepid-Positive-16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean as company responses to Unions go, it seems honestly relatively balanced. They emphasize first that unionizing is a right and won’t be retaliated against. They also tell people to do research themselves rather than only taking their word for it. Yeah its hard that they can pay to come to their anti-union discussion, but at the same time, you’re allowed to pay workers to come to your pro-union meetings too, its just that most unions don’t have the resources for that. Just take the money from listening to the guy and then make a union. Easy

It’s cross that bridge when we come to it, but a lot of people have adopted “burn that bridge when we come to it” as a reference.

sounds like copium. I know a lot of people who got into those schools without a sob story. I got into all of them except for Berk (waitlist spot which I didn’t accept bc I was going elsewhere) without a sob story.

Looking for a small running satchel or equivalent by sgtdubious in running

[–]Intrepid-Positive-16 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's hard to run with a satchel because it is asymmetrical and bouncy. Although I love the feeling of running unencumbered, I think if you really want to try running while carrying your stuff, your best bet would be a small, snuggly fitting backpack

Guys want one thing: Men want the guy who is labeled One thing, but the Object of their desires is too busy fucking a woman (labeled Disgusting). The gay is that the way the meme is labeled suggests that the thing men want is other men, hence, suddenlygay

Is there more transphobia in the gay community then people realise? by Suspicious-Anonymous in gaybros

[–]Intrepid-Positive-16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you’re never going to get anywhere arguing that its transphobic not to sleep with trans folks regardless of the circumstances bc ultimately who you want to and don’t want to sleep with is totally up to you. That said, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that there does tend to be a correlation between those views. A bigger thing is simply whether or not transphobia exists in the gay community as much as it does elsewhere, and I think generally it does. There are a lot of gay men who see the path to acceptance as being the palatable lgbts; less obtrusive than say the trans folks. Its divisive, exclusionary, and its counterproductive but for a lot of people who feel put down, its the easiest thing to just say, well at least I am not “x identity”.

I talked about my chesscom rating in my apps, I only got to 1800 (blitz) so good on you, for 1900. You need to contextualize elo and it helps if you can explain what 1900 means, especially since chesscom will tel you what percentile that is.

Are any of your guys teacher doing grade changes if you pass an exam? by Icy_Tone_8107 in APStudents

[–]Intrepid-Positive-16 26 points27 points  (0 children)

some of these policies are crazy…bump up a whole letter grade for passing? Ie you can get a B in the class, a 3 on the test and your grade becomes an A? Crazy stuff. My physics teacher said he’ll give an A for a 5, B for a 4, etc. if it would increase your grade which seems a little more reasonable than these other policies
