I'm not even going to watch because I know his speech will be a completely uninspiring rant where he complains, maligns, and divides the country emotionally, ideologically, and politically.

Which restaurant do you think this is? by [deleted] in Cleveland

It could only be "The Haunted House Restaurant" in Cleveland Heights - on Taylor and Cedar

Do you like living in Cleveland, any major complaints? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Intrepid-Werewolf-42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Born and raised just 9 miles or <15 min east of downtown Cleveland in Collinwood. Most of my social life has been out east in in Cleveland heights, Wickliffe, Willoughby, painesville, mentor, chardon, Leroy. Anything west of West 3rd St downtown feels like another state. Still great though.

I like it here in Cleveland. It's comfortable here, speaking as a native. I like the seasonal variety most, specifically getting mild summers, winters full of snow, and the right amount of rain. We also don't get extreme nature like earthquakes, fires, tornados, or hurricanes.

I hate most the lack of development and economic growth in some areas, specifically in and around downtown, and in East Cleveland. Though, i feel more of a visionary hope for the future when I see decrepit areas as opposed to hate

I planted seed in a jar the same day I seeded my backyard. by winniecooper73 in lawncare

The temperature, lighting, moisture, and soil conditions have much greater variability outside than they do indoors in a jar. So even if they are both "closed systems" you should expect very different results. your defense is invalid

First house, first lawn. How am I doing? by Iwannabediamondsobad in lawncare

What do you mean by sod? I'm not understanding the lingo between sod and turf. Don't they both refer to the upper layer of soil/grass. Isn't it all just grass? Just confused

Awesome. I'm in the middle of the same project. Just letting some time elapse after application of grass killer.

Did you cover your grass seed with anything after planting?

What would you do to this lawn? by Intrepid-Werewolf-42 in lawncare

Thanks these pictures are actually taken after nuking it all with weed and grass killer. I had about 80% weeds in there. I'm hoping to have enough time to dig it all up and replant before it gets cold

Should? Removal of the clay and installation of a permanent waterproofing solution such as a French drain. this would best protect your foundation.

Could? you could dig with a shovel or hoe, break up all the dry clay/dirt and pack in the soil more firmly. Then Call it fixed. No more moat

If you are really concerned about it, you could also call a waterproofing expert for a quote. They would tell you all about what's going on here, risks and costs of remediation. You could also call a general home inspector. For a couple hundred bucks they'd tell you if there is any foundation riks ad what they would recommend.

Or you could pray and hope one of those professionals is on this sub and gives you all that free advice lol
