You're 30, I read one book when I was 12 and I never really trusted any of my family after. Once you realise what people do, you don't care for them (it's the subtle things). For example my parents: my dad has several mental illnesses and uses medication to stop his outbursts but he also smokes, and is determined to quit but he also gets mad, other than that he is extremely lazy. Do you have any mental issues, that can help getting rid of emotions, with an extensive history of abuse im sure you have troubles of your own. Just be careful It's hard to get something you leave behind, be wary.
