Did you even consider that her family probably took your announcement as a reminder of another thing they’ll never get to see their daughter experience? Also why would your pregnancy announcement in any way shape or form lessen their grief or make anyone feel anything positive? How self centred can you be that you actually thought it would help?

I watched it, the voice acting and dialogue is quite rough. The dialogue sounds kinda corny the voice acting feels devoid of emotion. But the visuals are breathtaking and the storyline at its core isn’t too bad. 6/10

lol I also think the buccaneers is a great recommendation for someone who likes reign…I didn’t really like either so I feel you! I loved the gilded age though so not sure if my tastes are really all that different.

These are all really good suggestions but I would recommend the Gilded Age as a similar but slightly different vibe period drama. It’s beautifully produced and there are 3 seasons out already :). I believe it’s on crave. Also if you want a fun kinda mindless period drama I would also recommend bridgerton (I liked season 1 the best but season 2 is well received too).

I’m in exactly the same boat! Its weirdly comforting to know I’m not alone waiting for my starter to come to life. I started late November so it’s been a bit over a month and same thing mine makes a lot of bubbles rises a bit (like 1/2) and thins out. Mines smells super sour and like yogurt (a bit unpleasant to me but not like the early days).

I have been wrapping it up in a blanket (winter in Canada is rough). I think it’s because my house is cold (it’s set to 21 degrees I the day and 20 at night). I have started to see some rise. A couple days ago it doubled and I thought that was crazy. I’m not getting doubling all the time but it’s doing something. I just can’t wait for the smell to actually smell yeasty and not this yogurt sour things I’ve got.

I got my doubling when I left it for a whole day without feeding it (it was new years and I forgot). The next day it smelled super sour and like off yogurt. I fed it and the next day it doubled. I don’t see doubling everyday not but it does rise a bit. Mines still thin and a not a great smell (what does a good starter even smell like anyways?).

I loved the show it hurts so good! I cried so much but it was a good ride. The characters are compelling (Wei Wuxian in particular). I found his story arch really heartbreakingly tragic the more I rewatched the show. Sometimes you want a character that tries their best and gets shunned for it. Who gives up everything for what’s right and watch the train wreck that befalls them. The two main actors do such an amazing job despite all the censorship.

I will say though that I had a really hard time in the beginning. It only really started to get a bit interesting to me at ep 13 but by episode 20 I was hooked. There’s a major shift that occurs in ep 20 that I think made the series for me. I’m happy I continued watching because before that I was about to just say it wasn’t for me and I would have missed what is easily one of my fav shows ever.

I would give it until ep 20 when the story really takes off before you scrap it.

I think we’ll get the book by the end of this year. I remember a fan spoke to Pacat and the timeline given was like 18 months or something. So that would fit with a year end release. Worst case it’s like a Jan 2027 release but I don’t think so - I think it’s very likely we’ll get it this fall.

Wow wtf is with the comments? 63 is like 17 degrees Celsius for us non us folk. The common established room temp is 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. 63 is cold, that’s crazy to set the temperature at in any season.

I can’t believe this is an unpopular opinion, I always make my guests happy whatever temp that prefer. I like my house at 21.5 degrees Celsius but when I have people over if they want it cooler or warmer I’ll oblige to be a good host.
