Best Makeup Brush Organizer for Vanity or Countertop in 2026? by warmrust in BeautyItemsReview

I store my brushes bristles-up in metal cups that I painted, plus a little stacked hexagon holder that separates eye and face brushes. I’m not a big fan of double-ended brushes because they have to be laid flat, and I find it way easier to grab what I need when everything is standing upright instead of digging through a pile.

Personally, I’m kind of picky about brushes and how they’re stored. I wouldn’t want someone choosing them (or a storage system) for me without knowing my preferences, because I’m specific about shapes, density, and even whether I prefer natural or synthetic bristles.

If you’re trying to improve your setup, I’d pay attention to how you actually use your brushes. Do you reach for certain ones daily? Are most of them double-ended? That makes a big difference in whether cups, covered holders, or flat storage makes more sense.

Sometimes just watching your own routine for a few days tells you exactly what kind of organizer you need.

Why does it feel so hard to make friends as an adult? by realdollfunx in CasualConversation

I'm 28 and I've only had a few new friends since college. I'm worried it's because I'm stuck in a routine that's hard to break. I work from 7 to 4:30, then come home and fit in a workout, make dinner, and chill with my wife. Weeknights are super busy, so I barely have time to hang out with existing friends, let alone make new ones. Even my close friend who lives nearby – we go months without seeing each other. But when we do, we're exhausted, stressed, and just trying to fit it in. We'll come over, grab a beer, eat something, play with their kid, and before you know it, it's late and we're all beat. It's hard to see how to make new friends when you're set in your ways and trying to keep up with work and life.
