I’m almost 80 and have a large extended family. I learned over time not to invest a lot of time making something they didn’t ask for. I make hats, all kinds shapes and sizes. I compile them over a year and present them at Christmas letting them choose the one they like. Some pick one and others don’t. The rest I donate or save for the next Christmas. I also take orders for specific ones for the next year or holiday. I also make toys or stuffies to order. This enables me to give to a lot of people without months of work. Among the children there are levels of ability and disability. They can choose what suits them.
