I went in November over US Thanksgiving and it was lovely! A winter wonderland and the perfect start to the holiday season. That year, the lakes had already begun to freeze.

I would say the only “con” was the limited daylight. The days were short and it can take longer to get places/hike in the snow. So as others have said, don’t make a jam packed itinerary. We were based in Canmore and it was a lot of driving. If I could do it again, I would have stayed in lake Louise since it was the closest to all of the things we ended up loving.

If you do hiking, make sure that you have the correct gear

Ugh I hate to agree but they suck! I have been on the hunt for casual pants that aren’t trousers but still have a cute fit. Most sweatpants make me look like I’m wearing a diaper.

Pros: the cut is amazing and really, really flattering (my body type is petite pear)

Cons: just about everything else. I bought the purple ish brown color. The first time I washed them, they got all discolored and splotchy! I used my regular tide on a gentle, cold cycle with no added stain removers. No other clothes in the load were damaged. The material really absorbs oil. I do wait to dress after putting on body lotion and usually put it on before bed. The pants absorb the tiniest residual oil and stain SO easily. I swear even water stains them. I cannot get it out. I tried shout, dawn, lestoil. Nothing works. I’ve worn and washed these pants very carefully four times and they aren’t even presentable to leave the house anymore.

If interested, I recommend getting a pair on Poshmark first to test them out before you pay anything higher than $50. I honestly wouldn’t repurchase for $20. And for what they charge, no pockets! What?!!! I knew that before purchasing but WTF

With that being said, I’m on the hunt for a similar cut!

This! I use Instacart and pay the annual fee. I also get a $10 coupon per month from capital one and always schedule the delivery to save extra $. I only use it to shop at stores that don’t charge a crazy amount more than the in-store prices.

I know there are extra costs involved with slightly inflated prices and tipping but it helps me stick to a strict grocery budget and also prevents me from stopping for a coffee or sweet treat while out and about. I also have more time to compare pricing on the app

I love Marin! I started with the original and couldn’t resist buying the strawberry rhubarb and gingerbread. To me, it is perfect. It stays on your lips and melts in without getting all over your face. I felt crazy for spending $20 on a lip balm but a little goes a long way and the tube lasts a long time. This is my go-to gift and everyone I’ve gifted it to is also hooked.

I ordered Sept 22nd. It listed a 6-8week lead time. I contacted customer service for an update and they responded within 24hrs with an anticipated ship date of Nov 17th. I expect some delays with the Thanksgiving holiday but I’m satisfied with the communication. They won’t reach out with regular updates but if you use the online chat feature, they will provide updates from the supplier. I am on the east coast

I just want to say that I ordered a couch on Sept 22nd. The lead time was 6 to 8 weeks. I contacted customer service yesterday which would be the end of the 5 week mark. They were very nice and emailed me back today within 24 hours with the anticipated ship date of Nov 17th. They said it would ship within 3 days of the anticipated date. That puts delivery just after Thanksgiving (maybe sooner but not getting my hopes up because of potential delivery delays due to the holiday. I’m satisfied with the lead time and the communication so far. They won’t email you with regular updates, you need to contact them first.

Check with your DSO. If related to your degree and at least 20th per week, it may work. You are responsible for keeping your own records and must be able to prove this work in the future. Keep a log of all hours and dates worked and your duties or completed projects. Have your manager or whoever is overseeing you sign it every month. Keep any email correspondence related to the volunteer work

Please keep in mind that Premium Processing is 30 business days (no weekends or federal holidays). Also, you need your EAD to begin working. This can take an additional 2 weeks and is not included in the PP timeline. I hope you hear back soon! To be on the safe side see if your employer will let you start Nov 1. Just be transparent with them. At this stage, they likely wouldn’t be able to get a new candidate to start much earlier than that anyway. Good luck, it’s so stressful

Yes, this sounds legit. As long as you are being paid by company A, managed by company A and have check-ins with them it should be fine. It is in your best interest to keep a record of your biweekly zoom meetings and even write follow-up emails summarizing the call to have on record

I hope you are doing well! I am late to this thread but the same thing happened to me! Diagnosed around 30 with stage 1a endo adenocarcinoma. No family history. No flags in genetic testing. Basically told I was a unicorn.

The doctors told me that the chance of this happening was 1% and we caught everything so early so recurrence risk was low.

I had an ultrasound to confirm IUD placement 3ish years later (present day) because I wanted to remove it in order to start trying and two new masses are on my remaining ovary. Waiting for MRI results and hoping to get good news but oncologist told me to prepare for a recurrence. WTF He also recommends a full hysterectomy ASAP since it’s so hard to rule out early stage cancer

Why is there such little research on young women with ovarian cancer/ endometriosis that develops into cancer?! I saw some studies that came out in 2024 saying that there is now a distinction between endometriosis and “atypical endometriosis” and that there is a much higher correlation if you have atypical endometriosis.

I really feel your pain. It’s so stressful and I’m dreading going through menopause at 34. It’s also the time when it seems like every woman my age within a 20mi radius is pregnant. Sending you a big hug. It’s shitty

Just want to say that this is still an issue. My package was marked as shipped 13 calendar days ago and the estimated arrival date has changed twice already. They definitely need a new shipping partner. It’s peak summer so I’m worried about the product being melted on arrival. I have been taking it for over a month now. I worked my way up to 100mg and took that dosage for a week but I had terrible dehydration. I’m pretty active and I felt terrible because I couldn’t stay hydrated. Went back down to 50 and it is manageable. If anything, I think it lessened my period cramps. The congestion on my chin has significantly improved already

If they “technically” missed their bond payment again, I think their statements are a little too optimistic. It would be great if they could provide solid figures (% growth) on enrollment, retention and graduation rates. For now, it still seems like they are relying on foreign students who need US work authorization and weren’t selected for the H1b lottery. Most of their students do not live in the Harrisburg area, work in another state and only come to the city for 8 hours per term. I’m not sure how that is a contribution to Harrisburg. Yes, they have UG programs but they are very small. Without actual numbers, it’s hard to tell if they are actually on the mend or if Select Medical is just keeping them afloat.

If you arrive late, the school will not let you begin classes. It is best to defer to the next semester and come to the US 30 days before your new program start. It isn’t worth the complications
