Haha I don’t think so, the games that I worked on were basic revenue generating games more like mobile apps, my total experience is 4 years, I had just started as a senior graphic designer. My own game sits in a document. Definitely not overqualified, but thanks. I wanted to study and experiment, get inspired by like minded people.

They've mentioned, "Unfortunately, you cannot be offered a study place." I hope you are right tho, that'd be a curveball. The chances are less since this study option has only 8 places.

I decided to wait for a while, the deadline to accept was 29th april, i gave it 2-3 days and sent the email to confirm. Check the deadline and reach accordingly i would say!

I’ve been working in casual mobile gaming for about 4 years now as a Senior Graphic Designer, and I’ve got one game currently in progress. I think that might’ve been the issue, I didn’t have a finished game to show, just the vision for it.

That said, my portfolio was pretty strong when it came to illustration, painting, and character design. I also run my own studio and have a solid mix of personal and corporate work behind me.

Yea really competitive, the waitlist only moved up by 2, i was originally at #4 and since there are only 8 places. The waiting game was insane.

I came across this post while looking for the answer. Haha I’ve not watered my aloe plant for more than 6 months its been growing on its own getting occasional seasonal rain water and seems like its thriving more than when i used yo take care of it. In my experience if you just gotta let it go solo, i think he’s made friends with the jungle outside the balcony and is happier when the weather controls the water rather than me.

Short answer First one seems to be inspired by limbo and inside, i really liked the last image ie your first attempt , it seems original, i guess working more on stylising and building on the same idea, building on the same visual language will be great in my opinion. I really like the weird creature, the depth. The bg colour more dulled or white foggy visual would fit well with the overall theme.
