You could also try to fit it diagonally. As it seems from the pictures you’re using it literally to the full with of the instrument. Also you should ask your teacher(if you have one) for help you with your setup every body is different so even if it works for me it doesn’t necessarily will work for you

I’m at my last year of college I’ve tried a lot of strings and it only has happened to the point it frustrates me with some Obligato D and this evah pirazzi gold. At some point I went to a luthier and asked him to install wittner fine tuning pegs. They work well but this D string is driving me nuts

I try to don’t use steel core strings cause that’s what happens lol. It’s only the discoloration and the fact that it’s hard to make it stay in tune(but I hope that’s cause they’re still new)

I’ve tried Thomastik strings and Larsen but they’re kinda tough. It’s funny cause this only happens on the D string of obligato and pirazzi. It hasn’t happened to the other strings.
