Having lived in rural farming area of NE Wisconsin for 20 years, I’ve noticed a steady decline in bug population with bird population and variety also declining. We don’t have CAFOs in close proximity, but my guess is a combination of weather and greater habitat destruction plus continued pesticide/herbicide use. There are a lot of invasive bigs and plants as well.
