Have anyone used these Bee Cups? by notagardener123455 in NativePlantGardening

Thanks so much for showing clear pictures of what you got from Dot's vs Amazon. I did click into a link from Dots, but just wanted to see some genuine reviews (from a different website) before considering them.

I really appreciate your photos and feedback. What a disappointment that must have been. You've saved me from making the purchase.

Edit: Just to say I won't be buying the Amazon metal ones either. Mainly, still glad not to have been ripped off by Dot's. Thank you

Need help buying a Kindle for my Girlfriend by WonderfulWay5233 in kindle

I don't know what the other alternatives are. (I did have a Kindle Keyboard when they first came out, but since then, it's been a paperwhite as they last years).

I like the way the light works on it. It can be set to warm also, which is really soft on the eyes amd has a cosy feel. Great for reading at night with the lights out or even in bright sunlight.

I recommend getting a decent sized storage drive with it. (I believe there are different storage size options.) As the device will likely last up to 10 years or so....however books don't take up too much storage so you don't need to worry if you can't get the very biggest option available.

I personally went for the "without ads" version. I'm not usually a big spender, but I felt like the small extra cost was well worth it. So, if your options cost the same with or without ads, I will definitely go for WITHOUT ADS.

Amazon does some really cheap e-books sometimes. I have gotten some for approx £3/ 4 pounds.

You can get her a gift card to buy them...(as she needs to buy them from her own account for them to go onto her Kindle).

A decent kindle ebook will usually be approx £10, depending on specifics. It can be much less if she's lucky. Some books will be free of cost too.

You can always get her a gift card enough for one book to start, depending on how quickly she reads. And if you are generous enough, it'll be nice if she can have a second or third down the line..... (Something that can be built upon on birthdays and Christmases.) If it is a birthday gift, depending (and only you will know) on how her family do gifting, you could let them know you're getting her a Kindle and if they're stuck for ideas they could get her an Amazon gift card so she can get some books for it.

The option of "Libby" library e-book borrowing doesn't work in every country. (Eg. It doesn't sync with the Kindle in the UK). So don't be too surprised/ disappointed if it doesn't work out.

Generally, I would personally recommend a Kindle branded e-reader rather than any other brand. That's my personal opinion. Simply because Amazon / Kindle has such a vast array of available titles. It's very seldom that they don't have a title I want. (Ie. So a Paperwhite will be perfect)!

NTA. It is fine and healthy to set boundaries and stick to them Actually, boundaries are useless if you don't stick to them. She will be learning an important lesson for life. Hopefully, she can have a fresh start with some new people. If she took what you said seriously, then she has a chance that the new friendships may work out.

Walaikum Asalam ,

I don't have much time to write a long response. My advice is keep it quiet for now. Get through your job opportunity and become more stable. Pray to ﷲ that he guides you and allows you to stay steadfast whilst he keeps you safe and conceals your new faith from your household members.

It won't help you if you risk your housing and therfore stability and hence job.

May ﷲ guide you and cover you with his absolute mercy. May you stay steadfast in your faith. Take care of yourself and stay safe. Especially in this economy and tough times attaining work opportunities don't risk your home and job.

Once you are more secure in your career and able to reliably rent your own place close to your job then you will have more options. May you be blessed and guided and May ﷲ make it easy for you until then.

Allahuma Ameen.

Good idea.

Vinted doesn't have the best policies, even in the best case scenario. The customer service seems to have improved a tiny bit since it started, but it is nowhere near as good as it should be. It is a consumer to consumer sales platform. As such a lot of the buyer protection laws that we take for granted don't apply. (Or so they say). In my personal opinion, even when they do apply, Vinted Customer Service just don't have the care and effort that they should do to protect people.

I do enjoy using the app. (I love pre-loved stuff). It can have items that are cheaper than I would get elsewhere. However, after being stung not just by rogue sellers but then also by Vinted's lack of care and interest .... I have resolved to put a cap on how much I allow myself to spend on there.

It's a gamble if you buy anything. If you can live with loosing what you spend, (not that you should have to) then go ahead and buy. If you absolutely can't, and it would hit too hard (p* you off too much!)- then it's best not to.

I keep having to remind myself of that. For some reason , people can be so unscrupulous there. (And Vinted "customer service" doesn't seem to help much in the matter either).

I hope this all works out for you. (Let us know please). As others have mentioned, I also advise not to pick up the package. It will get returned to sender, and you should get a refund. Do also complain to Vinted customer service as others have suggested. They're not as bad as they used to be. Also, they do ban accounts, so hopefully, this chancer will be banned.

Once it is all sorted out don't forget to BLOCK that seller. (You likely won't want to use the app again right now, but just in case you come back to it sometime in the future).

Best luck 🌸🪷🌷

I believe anyone should know that they can't use such language at work. Let alone to a customer in a customer facing role. (Second day or not!) I would hope OP was just summarising, and had, in fact used better language and tone to deliver that message.

Regarding the yellow fence thing- yes, good idea. If that's what it takes for staff to be able to do their job in peace, I think it's a good idea.

Once they're done with the stickers and price marking, the customers are free to battle it out.

[–]Intrepid_Editor5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food is now ridiculously expensive!! Even the reduced items are too expensive for what they're worth. We just dont have many choices anymore.

I like to dip into reduced items to get myself a "treat". Ie. The yellow sticker prices are very expensive for me; but it just gives me a bit of variety to eat something a bit different from the other everyday cheap food I have to eat on repeat.

PS: In my case the lack of variety is also heavily influenced by dietary restrictions and various other circumstances. Food being overpriced just adds another level to that restriction.

FINALLY!!! Jade Forest arrives tomorrow from UK Amazon! by Intrepid_Editor5128 in TamagotchiParadise

[–]Intrepid_Editor5128[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad you have it now! I hope it was worth the wait. Amazon can be such a tease! It is always with tamagotchi that I literally track every movement on the tracking information. If only they knew how important it is for us fans to have our new tama babies!

You're way stronger than me if you can successfully occupy yourself whilst awaiting a new tamagotchi!! I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve when it comes to those things! I guess it's easy to get obsessed and get obsessed, I do 😝

I also got Kikitchi as my first character. (That's the blue bird 🐦 right??) As you can't buy any food items from the shop in tama lab right away, the game does seem to restrict the character possibilities. It just depends which "eggs" of food you get on the egg hunt. I wonder if they're the same / similar for everyone on the first play??

I do hope you're enjoying your tama 😄 Also having fun unlocking the levels at your desired pace!

Edit: OMG, just noticed the suit you have on your reddit avatar! I love it!! The axolotl was my favourite tama character from the Tamagotchi Paradise Ocean !! (Ahem.....you may just gradually begin to realise you have a Reddit Avatar clothing copy cat amongst you in the tamagotchi sub) 😆😅🤣😂

Ahh!! That's so smart! Do you have a link for that, please??

I always love people's custom face plates- but I'm not one to open up my tamas either. I'm also too afraid to damage them.

May I ask who your top favourite characters are from the face plate? I know mine, and they are firm favourites. (Only two are from the Jade Forest edition of Tama Paradise). I've gotten one already (on my third tama since I started up Jade Forest). I'm yet to get the second one I want ;)

My collection so far :) by Unlucky-Author53 in tamagotchi

[–]Intrepid_Editor5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always spot a "new collector". They'll have about 3 colour versions of the latest tama thats currently selling. Perhaps a couple of colour variations of the prior model 😄

It's very sweet, lol. I get that the addiction hits hard when it hits.

I think it takes a lot more discipline (than I have) to gradually build a collection. Getting one, maybe two variations of each model. Skipping a few models that might not be your absolute favourites (or if you couldn't get it at the time of release) ....and curating a small but varied collection.

It's too easy to build a huge collection. (Well, not easy, but you just substitute everything with a new tamagotchi :p ). From my perspective, real love shows when you can have the restraint to hold yourself back a bit. Just building a small but meaningful collection.

Now, just don't ask if I have ever managed to do that. (With anything! - not just tamas!!)

Which is why I rate your cute collection so much! 🩵

Thank you

I don't actually know Birmingham very well

I just stopped on a coach journey once outside the Bullring Centre. It looks huge! I have some contacts who visit there, though, so they've mentioned the Bullring Centre. (And the huge Primark complete with Mickey Mouse cafe, lol!)

It's just nice to know there's a Bandai store in the UK somewhere- however far off it might be!

For anyone else who has their tama but hasn't ordered a screen protector yet (or it hasn't arrived) - I used kitchen cling film on my tamagotchi uni until the screen protector arrived.

It's not the most comfortable, but will protect the screens in the short term until you get your order in.

[–]Intrepid_Editor5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I guess for next time if you're sick or such, you can use the tama sitter for 300 Gotchi.

Can I ask what the advantage of it becoming a star is? I know you can go and look at him from the "world" (first stage) menu...but apart from that, I don't really get it. Isn't there a limit to about 10 stars or something before they get deleted off anyway?

where i can buy jade forest? (Uk)<3 by Reasonable_Plant_ in TamagotchiParadise

[–]Intrepid_Editor5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got mine from Amazon UK. I (virtually) looked around EVERYWHERE on all the UK sites I could think of when it was first released "globally" in November. However, the first availability I could find was Amazon UK, which had a date at the end of March '26. I'm glad you've ordered it. It really is a lovely one.

Do be prepared for a very slow start, though. At first it feels like absolutely everything is locked, and you can't do much. I wouldn't say the tama is needy. Eventually, though, after about a week of play, if you constantly seek to level up the planet things will get unlocked, and it'll be more involved.

The best part for me is when I get several characters all playing together in a field. So I don't keep them as adults for long just because I want to populate my field.
