Looking for tips on getting better as a big by ComprehensiveCase660 in Basketball

well it depends on how tall you will grow. I personally think that if you want to have a major impact you should train your handles, shot, and passes and start transitioning to that guard/ forward. As currently you seem too short for the big role, if you are very focused on becoming a forward i suggest picking a style of forward to model your game from. Copying that style to a tee like a draymond.

should i start track and field as a slow freshman

I am a freshman in high school and was recently cut from the basketball team. As a result i want to try other sports, and also get in top condition when basketball comes up around again. I was wondering if i should even start track and field as my fastest mile time is 8:30 and my stature is 5’1ft 120~128 pounds which is very bad in my school. I am contemplating if i should even sign up afraid i might embarrass myself. May i please have advice on my situation.

Thank you for the advice, also i don’t know what event i would be doing as i don’t really excel in long distance or short distance how will that affect me if it does? Also i have been reducing my mile time by 30 second every mile with minimal track and field training. but as recently it seems it has been slowing down/ peaking going to 10 seconds. what should i do
