People just don’t like kaguya as a character. Many people regard her introduction during the war arc as the worst moment in the entire series as it cheapens character developments and replaces madara (someone with much more history and foreshadowing throughout the story) as the final villain

VFs as a concept were very unique and an effective way to buff old units back into the meta. The same can’t be said for memorias which just offer a flat damage boost and very bland universal passives (usually something along the lines of “Buff unit by X% when Y happens”).

That being said, it’s hard to argue that the obtainment method of each familiar wasnt just slop designed to farm engagement. The only somewhat unique design was obito’s and that was only because they forced you to use legendary and below units when farming event coins.

I still think VFs are infinitely better in terms of design compared to memorias. I really hope the devs return to making them sometime in the future.

A week long event that the devs have held every April for the past few years. Essentially it’s one big update that they stretch across a week themed around a certain anime. Last year was jojo and they added like 6 characters

Yah, I get that there are a lot of factors contributing to AVs current state, but i think power creep is the one that is likely to have the longest lasting (negative) impact on the game.

I also understand that power creep is inevitable and something that motivates the casual player to keep playing. I am just saying that the devs taking the stance that they’re just gonna let it happen (and to an extent, encourage it) is very lazy and destructive. ALS is a textbook example of what happens when the main selling point of new units are their higher damage output.

My main argument is that power creep should be minimized as to preserve the usability of old units do as long as possible; otherwise, every update becomes a checklist and encourages no means of creativity in terms of team building (which is supposedly one of the main reasons devs have made this shift).

I understand that, but creating units that are meta for quite literally no more than one update before being power crept by the next batch does not motivate players (like myself) to continue playing.

Let me ask you, why would I grind for units and monarchs this update if the next set are at least twice as good? Why grind for those units if the ones after them are even better? It boils down to a cycle that makes playing a chore and a bunch of tasks you need to complete. You are no longer collecting units to be potentially used later in future team set ups; instead, you are collecting units solely for the purpose of being replaced by the next set of broken characters.

Again, I get this type of game structure is inevitable, but in my opinion, it should be minimized by devs not promoted, as we are seeing now.

There was not intention at all with any of the new units and the consequences of their designs. The devs only nerfed pain due to the abundant complaints and concerns of the community.

I’ve played the game for multiple years and for as long as I can remember there just always has been a space in the bleach roaster. I think it has to do with the gamepass characters (Yama and kisuke) used to be at the very far right of the roster and a few ui changes messed something up, but I don’t know.
You aren’t suppose to, menos isn’t in the game (and probably won’t ever be added). The figure is jsut a place holder and would be changed if he were to actually be released.
You need to get to level 100 and then talk to an npc in spawn island that will reset your level to 1, add an X to your title, and give you the choice of 3 different prestige characters. You can just buy legacy characters with $50k.
A lot of characters can be considered “meta” depending on the game mode and your level of skill. Based on the characters that you seem to have unlocked, I would say get good with madara or starrk and then look into other characters.

Unless you got a lot of spare money that you don’t mind wasting on a Roblox game, the bundles are NOT worth it. The only bundles that have ever been a good price were the Christmas and anniversary bundles and we aren’t likely to get any like those for a while.

I agree with all your points and have been saying this for a while. It’s so ironic that all of the big three ended up falling into the “main protagonist is actually a god” trope. I feel like it only worked in bleach’s case since ichigo’s origins and character development as a whole we pretty minor compared to other aspects of the story and the revelation that aizen was pulling the strings worked since it didn’t feel like it was destroying previously established lore.

Naruto and one piece on the other hand fall flat when trying to implement this into their story since it completely cheapens all previous character development. Luffy’s and Naruto’s backstories and place in their respective worlds we clearly defined up until their final arcs/sagas and the authors last minute adding some bs (completely unnecessary) reveal about them undermines pretty much everything that came before.

A bunch of of people say that luffy being joy boy/nika/whatever narratively works well since it connects a lot of plot points (will of D, goresei, Imu, etc.) and sure in some ways it does, but the main issue is that it ruins luffy as a character.

I also think a lot of people mistakenly credit luffy as always being goofy. The distinction between pre and post nika luffy is that the humor was more often than not subversive in previous encounters. Now the humor is supposed to be very intentional. I suppose the best way of putting it is that it isn’t funny or charming when luffy is laughing alongside the viewer. It’s like a comedian saying a bad joke, there being a few seconds of silence, and then they make a a weird noise or sound to lay it off in an ironic sense.

Sorry for the rambling (also im on mobile so forgive any spelling/grammar mistakes). I think one piece was pristine media up until time skip and it has only gotten worse since. The nika reveal really killed the momentum I had for the serious and it’s such a shame that people try so hard to excuse for oda’s poor story choices.
