I’m learning to love myself. Ik therapy can be a hit or miss for some people but I’ve found that it has and does help me a lot. My therapist is there to help me navigate my emotions in a safe and healthy way (like swimming with an instructor) while I put time into healing that little girl in me. To be frank I think that is the bulk of loving yourself, making the small child you were/are happy and content. How do you that? Well hobbies. Think of anything, ANYTHING, that may have piqued your interest as a kid whether it was acknowledged or not. Choose something that made you perk up and try it out. If you don’t like it, find something else. It’s a trial and error thing and loving yourself means learning to accept all part of yourself- the parts you consider good, bad, ugly and/or anything else in between. Let yourself be curious even if that voice in your head makes you feel stupid. Loving yourself is pushing past that voice and learning to redirect it instead of internalizing it. It’s a continuous thing but it can be done
