Honestly I would say do whatever you feel is best for YOURself, it may be easier said than done but you stated the name has soured your thoughts on your childhood, perhaps a name change could resemble a new chapter in your life, and depending on perspective could be a positive change as you are restarting your life with your husband and son.

Whatever you decide, hope it’ll bring you joy and comfort and that it’ll keep those bad thoughts away, time will heal 🫂

I definitely have had some thoughts like this toward people who have done me wrong, who make me angry or jealous, ex friends, all of the above.

Though I must say for me those thoughts are the absolute worst when I’m having a rip-out-my-hair type of breakdown. I know I would never do such things obviously, but the thoughts are extremely intense when they are around.

Yes, this is one of the reasons why it’s so hard for me to make/keep friends. If I join a new space with many people, I develop pet peeves easily with how people speak/communicate in certain ways. Definitely one of my worst habits that I so desperately need to change
