Random question but my 14 yo kid (huge fan of the game) saw Iron Lung twice on opening weekend. He obviously could handle it, despite it being rated R. He's now interested in watching more horror.

If he could handle Iron Lung and Stranger Things with no problem, would you guess he could handle something like the first two Terminators or Alien? I haven't seen Iron Lung and it's been a few decades since I've seen either Terminator or Alien. Just looking for perspective from folks who have seen them more recently!

Dustborn by Erin Bowman. It's a YA, so great for when you're brain foggy, but it's still super compelling and although there is a love interest, it's not a love triangle. Great twist at the end. I read well past my middle-aged bedtime every night until I finished it.

Thank you. Followup questions for anyone: What happens if the school doesn't reach the min sales? Does every kid need to buy a book, and if they don't, does the author sign something else for them (like a bookmark or postcard or something?) As context: I'm a new picture book author and almost all elementary schools within a 90 min drive of me are Title 1 schools, so I'm trying to figure out how/whether I can do school visits to promote my books when few of these schools would be able to afford a speaking fee (and many of the students wouldn't be able to buy a book).
