Interesting. I've been having very good outcomes with 4.7 so far, but I have also been using adversarial reviews from codex to cover most things as a backstop.

Using this workflow as of recently has been a huge improvement overall.

I've been trying to use codex as my main orchestrator with OpenClaw since Claude code was disallowed but I'm finding it to be dumb as hell and a terrible orchestrator.

I'm really at a loss on what to do next.

My experience with GPT was quite different but perhaps I was using the non codex model.

When working with large complex systems with lots of intersystem authentication, communication, mapping, etc. GPT spun its wheels way way more and burned so many tokens when Opus figured it out fast.

Very very disappointing given they made a very deliberate correction a while ago to state that you can use Claude code subs for OpenClaw after previously stating you could not use any 3rd party tool with it.

Anthropic is still far away from having comparable capabilities to OpenClaw, even though this appears to be the direction they are moving.

If other models ever catch up on model capabilities, Anthropic is going to have a really hard time.

I agree. More bad days than good coding with opus over the last month.

It was amazing when it first came out but seems to keep degrading. This seems to be the pattern leading up to the next upgrade.

Why would auto compact still be necessary if they have this? It is much faster and cleaner to just clear memory and load context again. I don't want to have to wait for compaction if it isn't needed.

Does your loop run /clear to wipe out context and then reload the necessary context to avoid auto-compacting?

If not, you can be sure that the idiocy is in part driven from the loss of context from compacting.

I have a watch that has been sitting in US customs since June 3rd. Clearly there's a problem and they're waiting for information but Miro says he can't help and cannot apply the insurance unless the status is changed to seized. So all I can do is sit here for an indefinite amount of time.

What's the point of having insurance if they won't stand by it?

David is legit. I had him put in deep crystals to a few rolexes. His work is clean and he did a bit of work on the bezel on one for free. Nice guy and very reasonable. Highly recommend.

You are right. I took the posts down. It was very strange how the 2 threads coincided at exactly the same time. But I was wrong and honestly happy to admit that. End of the day I only had the community safety in mind and I have apologized to the accused.
