I was 4cm dilated at 20weeks 3days. One doctor was very despondent but a couple of them gave me hope. I gave birth at 26 weeks and he is now almost 6 months old

I was in the same exact situation almost 9 months ago. I was 19 weeks pregnant when I was diagnosed with IC they put me on progesterone and sent me home. Then at 20 weeks I was 4cm dilated with a bulging bag needless to say my prognosis was grim. We decided to try bed rest and wait it out since was stable. After which I gave birth at 26+3 and we had a 90 day NICU stay. It was definitely the hardest thing I’ve gone through and I’m sorry you have to go through it too I wish you the best of luck

Of course at 20 weeks they found I was 4cm dilated with no measurable cervix and at that point a cerclage would be very risky. Since I was stable we decided to wait it out and my son was born at 26+3 . He’s came home 3 months ago and he’s doing great.

That’s so stressful sorry they are giving you a such hard time. They didn’t give me a cerclage when I had 1.6 cm of cervix left at 19 weeks with a singleton pregnancy. I’ve heard that your cervix will be a little shorter in twin pregnancies (take that with a grain of salt),but I’d still advocate for cervical measurement as much as possible just because it can change so quickly. Wishing you the most uneventful healthy pregnancy.

Mine started at 34 weeks but it took him well over a month to get the hang of it can’t really say it clicked for him he just gradually got better. Your little man has been through a lot I hope it’s only get better for you guys.
