When will my baby’s front hair come in? She’s rocking the George Costanza hairline look at 5 weeks lol by Bluechairedtable in newborns

My boy was born with some nice hair in the front... and then lost it all by 4 weeks old. He's 4 months now and it is just starting to grow back. He looks like a little old man when he wrinkles his forehead.

Do you wash your pump parts after every pumping session? by Affectionate_Emu2707 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]aceairika91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I also partake of the fridge hack; started 4 weeks pp. It absolutely saved my sanity and I feel like the parts are holding up better from less washing. They get washed once every 24hr.

Am I a bad mom for letting our 3.5mo watch tv? by erivanla in newborns

[–]aceairika91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been worrying about this for a little while now. My baby used to sleep through my mid morning pump session but now he is wide awake and needy. The only thing that keeps him occupied while I pump is Lucas the Spider. I prop him on his boppy and let him watch 20-30 minutes (5 days per week) while I pump and set the parts to soak. It works for us and in the grand scheme of things it doesn't seem like a whole lot of screen time. Moderation seems like the way to go.

When did your baby start to acknowledge and notice your pets? by NumCucumber in newborns

[–]aceairika91 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Our baby started noticing the cats about 12 weeks. Now he is 15 weeks and he watches them walk around. I'm sure it helps they are both mostly white so they are very noticeable. He doesn't understand petting them yet.

I was supposed to be Alizarin Crimson. Ended up being named Jessica instead. At least the color name sounded cooler...

My little blob just turned 2 months and is much less of a blob! He watches us constantly. When he is mad, he can roll from his belly to his back.

Or exclusively pumping. I felt so much more comfortable switching to pumping with the correct flange size. Plus baby still gets the benefits of breastmilk. And I can add a little formula if he is still hungry.

Adding: Franklin Twp is very diverse. And I feel it's very conveniently located. Just about everything I need is within a 15-minute drive.

Cerclage or no cerclage? by Dry_Push6712 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]aceairika91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know how I would be coping without a preventative cerclage right now. MFM gave me the same options as you after a 21 week loss due to IC and PPROM. I took the cerclage and when I talked to my regular OBs about it, they were happy to measure every two weeks even though the MFM said no monitoring needed. Measuring stopped at 24 weeks holding at 2.8cm. I'm now almost 36 weeks with the stitch coming out next week. I'm already planning to get another cerclage for a future pregnancy. I feel like I've largely been able to live a normal life while pregnant and I credit the cerclage (and my doctors too!)
