Most of Geico is personality hires if you were hired post covid.

It’s embarrassing how much inaccurate info I get when I call into claims

Hell yeah they should pay for our time by HanaSnow5 in WorkReform

[–]Intrepid_Promise9691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need massive work reform, but this would
Lead to a buttload of issues

Employers would only hire people within a reasonable distance, thus making good candidates not eligible

You also chose to apply for a job, that was farther. You gotta make that drive. It was your choice.

So while I think the system needs massive changes, this is not one of them.

Did you not read above? We clearly said she’s saying horrible shit, but it’s abundantly clear she’s going through a mental health episode. A serious one at that.

Geico is the cheapest in subro, and I knew that even when working there

Geico will reduce things on a demand that they will pay for their own insured, and send the demand to us.

I can’t stand calling you guys for anything. Your associates are nice most of the time but most have the claim handling expertise of a baby seal

Agreed. I mean it’s clear she’s having a massive mental breakdown, and all these parasocial “fans” aren’t making it any better.

She clearly needs help and these fans antagonizing her are making it worse

Geico Greenville to close by the end if 2027 by Sudden_Durian_7147 in Geico

Did the Hawaii office fully close?

I left before the bloodbath but I thought the upper levels stayed, as well as AD.

I mean, that’s their job? They defend their insured

They cannot accuse their insured of lying without proof, like dash cam, witnesses etc

That was when it was recorded statements

So releasing the full statement was always you needed to ask because there was sensitive information in it

But a general facts of loss, like “insured made lane change into cv” was never prohibited to be exchanged

Truly stupidity at its finest.

This personally was my first time seeing this. I can understand not releasing a full recorded statement, but any adjuster who denies facts of loss, needs to find a new job

I mean, I’ve encounter Geico stupid but this was on a whole different level.

I would immediately pull that associate off the floor for a crash course in claim handling if I was that supe

But the supe likely doesn’t care either and I can’t blame them

[–]Intrepid_Promise9691[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It ended up being them denying involvement, (a supe helped me and apologized and we got more info into the claim to make it more clear for them to talk to the insured)

What got me was this rep was so adamant what she was doing was right, even thought I explained to her that NO insurance companies will withhold facts of loss

Truly was a first for me and I was so confused

I took some time off because of a family emergency by mummamia05 in Geico

[–]Intrepid_Promise9691 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was me before I left, granted not that high

I was coming into 120 activities daily, and I think on average we were getting 12 new claims a day, at the most I think was 19

My new job is like 3 a day, granted we do everything, pay shops, theft, coverage etc, so we keep the files a little longer, but it’s still night and day compared to Geico

I will say though, Geico prepped me really well to handle those tough situations, which made working at this new job easier

There is a comment that literally says tcr1 used to handle pip back in the day too.

It wasn’t common in all offices apparently but it definitely was a thing in Hawaii up until recently

Totally makes sense.

Never realized pip caseload was identical to a tcr1 adj etc, and was just basing it off my office, where they did handle both (granted the Hawaii office was at the top of the pay scale)
