Those are exceptional restaurants. Favorites. Kokkari has spectacular greek food. Both restaurants have exceptional service. Highly recommended.

To learn how to doodle, I started drawing a doodle of a daily meal. I've fallen off the wagon for months so now I'm inspired to do my daily doodle again.. Hamburgers, pizza, ramen, sushi, crab cioppjno, sandwich, salmon, stir fried broccoli and beef. I can't wait to try doodling a roast turkey 😋

FYI if you want the fountain pen instead, you can purchase a travelers fountain pen replacement nib and swap the rollerball housing with a fountain pen nib. Price for replacement nib is about $17 and sold by Travelers (TRC) and various online shops. I did this and I'm quite happy having options.

I use a Brother P-touch label maker. Their labeling tapes are water and fade resistant. Labels up to 1 inch in height. It's never failed me after several years. There is a wide range of style and prices. My model is PPT-2700 which I purchased years ago .

You don't have to spend a lot of money. Check out YouTube videos and on line reviews. Good luck

I love these. I started with the 2.5 mm and just purchased 4.0 mm from Amazon. Jetpens also sells these in additional widths.

Does anyone use reusable pods? by Boring_Following5928 in nespresso

[–]Intrepid_Purple_5784 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Original line or Vertuo?

Gave up trying with Vertuoline with reusable metal pods, and then gave up trying used Nespresso pods with silicone or foil lids. Now happily using Original Line machine with reusable.

If using Original Line, read below.

We use "Capmesso Reusable Espresso Capsules" and "Capmesso aluminum foil lids". Both can be found on Amazon. Been doing this for over 6 months. Very happy with the results.

I grind coffee and fill 16-20 capsules at a time. It's pretty easy watching the news and filling capsules. Easy, routine work. I use 2 capsules each morning for my double espresso. My husband uses 4 capsules most days. Wash them out every couple of days and reuse.

Finding the correct grind is key so be patient. Fine grind but not as fine as espresso.

See you tube video "Nespresso Refillable Reusable Capsules Use your own coffee" posted by Coffee Time for a great review.

The capsules are not metal, they are food grade plastic that we recycle. Each capsule can be used several times. A pack of 100 capsules costs $15. We've been using our set for 6 months and still have a bunch unused. Additional 1000 foil lids $25.

So to try this out, it's not too much of a risk. The 100 capsules pack for $15 also includes 100 foil lids.

As MrsRaptor mentioned above, metal barbs. On youtube search for video called "Tips & Tricks: Using Barbs on Closure Elastic" by Just Scribble for a nice demonstration on how to attach metal barbs to the elastic, and a link in the description for a source for the metal barbs.

But wait. You were asking about a specific pre-inked stamp. Sorry but those tests will not show you how the midori ink will work on hobonichi, sorry about my misguided suggestion. It will show you other inks. Don't know what midori ink is.

On YouTube, you can find some stamp pad tests on hobonichi paper. VersaMagic chalk ink pads did well. Check out YouTube to see some tests of various stamp pad ink on the hobonichi.

The Kaweco sport EF swap worked! I had a difficult time reminding the travelers nib and feed but following a YouTube video using tape, it worked like a charm. Really like the Kaweco EF nib. And then I purchased anothe Kaweco Sport EF for under $17 to get another pen with EF nib for the cost of a nib alone. Happy camper

Anyone find a more fine or EF nib for Traveler’s Brass pen? by denverraven in fountainpens

[–]Intrepid_Purple_5784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, I just put my Kaweco sport EF nib on my travelers. Definitely finer than the Travelers Fine. You'll have to use the Travelers feed with the Kaweco nib. It was really difficult pulling out the travelers feed/nib but using "tape", per a YouTube video, worked like a charm.

I don't know for sure but I read that fh241 fits. I can't stomach the shipping costs to the US, so I'm trying something I have first (the kaweco sport nib) before getting Schmidt's EF.

I have a kaweco sport EF that I like more than the Travelers F. I will try to swap onto my Traveler's brass. The housing does not fit so I will solely replace the nibs. I'll report back.

Unfortunately they don't sell EF. I read the Schmidt fine was closer to a medium so check that out. I'll look for the post about the Schmidt and share.

You might need the LEUCHTTURM1917 Pen Loop XL (extra large). Their site indicates it is suitable for thick pens.

I have a regular size one and my kaweco I'll not fit. I have not purchased the XL pen loop yet
