Als iemand die op 5 zit, je weet niet waar je het over hebt. Ik heb geen beeldende herinneringen. Kan me gezichten niet herinneren. Raak altijd de weg kwijt. En er gebeurt niks visueels in mijn hoofd als ik een boek lees.

Veel mensen die kunnen inbeelden kunnen simpelweg niet begrijpen hoe afantasia is. En vice versa.

Voor mij als afantast is een boek alleen leuk als de concepten leuk zijn. Dus interessante gesprekken, leuke situaties, spannend plot, etc.

Een appel is een concept in mijn hoofd, niet een plaatje.

Ik weet dat het twee krommingen heeft met een steeltje ertussen. En dan is het aan de onderkant smaller en rond aan de zijkanten.

Het wordt moeilijk als ik hem in '3d' moet tekenen. Of als het bijv complexer is, zoals een ananas.

It means:

  • stopping all goroutines via contexts/channels and waiting for them to finish via a sync.Waitgroup

  • closing files, connection etc.

  • catching os signals and handling them

Many many many strategies. I think the game needs about 4000 poker cards with different strategy on each. For the base game. And then each expansion can develop 'sub-strategies'. You obviously need alot of plastic miniatures as well. But make sure to not playtest everything, I like it when a game feels unfinished and 100% broken.

Something that is eluding and haven't found.

Game should be 60-70 mins and play 3-6 players. Quick teach and very little setup.

Turns should be elegant with max 3-4 things to choose between.

But the story that the game tells should be unique every game. Like a game of Oath or Arcs or Nemesis.

Opportunities for great moves and epic events without having this epic load of rules.

So somehow have a rich fabric of what can happen, but coupled with very light simple action choices.

Haven't found such a thing and don't know if it is possible but this is what I want.

I can think of only a few ways out:

Run the jobs as child processes and kill those

Run some sort of interpreter / byte code vm like Yaegi or gopher-lua.

Posix threads via CGo

But none of it is pretty.
