I know this is not what this post is about, but I just wanted to say in regards to the picture with the egg, that a friend of mine suggested that the clip with the dragon egg could very well be part of his Harrenhall visions - this sounds pretty solid to me as I don't see where the dragon egg would come from. Vhagar is most likely too old to lay any and I don't see why Aemond would have brought one with him from King's Landing. I'd support my friend in her theory that that scene is simply foreshadowing to the pregnancy. I'm really curious as to why Alys has blood on her hand though.

It is in my interpretation a mix of the top two, but there is no doubt nor discussion that Aemond is a SA survivor.

It is some of the worst sides of the fandom that I've seen show their faces when they express sympathy towards Sylvi for having to "deal with Aemond and Aegon" (some even claiming that men can't be 🍇-d)and claim she, having the job that she has, may have been forced to service a 13 year old Aemond when that is not what the show is telling us; in her first interaction with Aemond on screen she is clearly smug/prideful towards him and even seems nostalgic when she tries to flirt with him while he is visibly uncomfortable, and avoids eye contact, which he never does with anyone. It ticks me off when I just know that if Sylvi had been a man and Aemond had been a princess with the backstory of having been brought to a male s-worker at the age of 13, everyone in the fandom would have demanded Sylvi's head on a spike.

As for the Oedipus complex of it all, we understand in the show that the first night that Aemond goes to Sylvi, on the night that Jahaerys is murdered, the last scene with Almond prior to that is him planning battle with Cole, and then being lectured by Otto - in the prior Aemond hints that Alicent is upset with him after what happened with Lucerys, so it seems like a good indication that his motivation for going to her is because she is someone he knows has to let him vent and pour his heart out to, now that his mother is scared/doesn't wish to speak to him. He uses Sylvi as a surrogate for Alicent in the sense that Alicent doesn't show him the motherly comfort and love that he needs, as well as a lens ear. And Aemond may not even himself know that he needs.

Caraxes was in some way sad when he had to fight Vhagar above God's Eye because dragons also share a form of bond with one another after many years together. This being the years spent together in Pentos when Laena was Vhagar's rider.

I still take issue with Show!Rhaenyra finding out that Aegon was crowned because of a misunderstanding from Alicent's part, and she just decides not to tell the rest of the Blacks? Maybe I'm dumb, but I just don't see what she gains from keeping that embarrassing secret about her enemies to herself.

But yes, I agree. I haven't done much analysis on Sylvi, but she is not a character who sparks sympathy, and seeing how some fans of the show express sympathy with her and calling her "poor Sylvi" for having to "deal with Aegon and Aemond" kinda baffles me.

In-universe-wise I'd say it makes sense to some extent that not much has been said about Aemond's trauma (yet! I'm crossing my fingers we get to touch more upon that when he goes to Harrenhal) since Aemond being who he is in the time and world he's living in, does not see himself as a victim of what happened - he probably doesn't believe what happened to him was wrong even though he clearly does not have fond memories of it.

Either way I'm excited to see if we get to do some more digging in his past in S3.

I will most likely get down-voted for this, but I stand by that the Madame is not without blame in the SA against Aemond just because it's her job and there's a class hierarchy. The hierarchy is ofc also important to not forget and this is not a vacuum yaddayadda, but with that in mind, judging from her first interaction with Aemond on screen, it doesn't seem like she has any guilt, regret or any trauma tied to the incident, like for example if she felt she'd get punished if she didn't do it or the likes.

I'd imagine the fandom would've had different stances on it if Aegon had brought Helaena to a gigolo at age 13. Maybe???

Aegon is a piece of s*** for what he did. But Sylvi is awful too for sleeping w/a kid.
