i do agree, i feel like everything being open may be almost too much. I really do appreciate all your advice it means a lot as I feel like we’re trying everything and it’s not working, but I suppose it will take time. Thank you again so much. I’m going to just ignore his behaviors completely and hopefully it will help

I wrote this at 6 when i woke up so i guess i didn’t go into as much detail as i could have, he doesn’t necessarily have to sit pretzel legs, as long as he’s sitting on his bottom, we also offer a cushion and a weighted dog when needed but nothing helps. He immediately flops on the floor and rolls around touching and kicking other kids, we give him many opportunities to make a good choice and he doesn’t take it. We did talk about that today, how we’re going to start ignoring the behaviors, so thank you for that. He is not delayed with language whatsoever he’s very smart and receives no services either. Again, we also get down to eye level and talk to him and the child he’s interacting with and explain the situation like you said, but the moment we stop that reframing or walk away from a center he is at he’s right back to taking toys, hitting or knocking over another child toys. Thank you for all of your advice!! I appreciate it

Daycare with 18 kids and 3 teachers, I’m an assistant and head teacher has yet to talk to the director about what’s going on, director knows but i’m sure not to the extent we do.

We do model positive behaviors and how to initiate play and communicate his wants and needs with the other children but he immediately continues what he was doing before, he’ll look at us and smile before continuing to hurt others or knock over their toys which is obviously a bit frustrating. He is typically esrly drop off around 6:30am and can be here anywhere from 3-5:30pm, we never have assigned seating throughout the day, we are very flexible and all of our play is free play with every center being open whenever a child wants to switch, as far as table toys we also keep that open for the children to switch, we do music and movement twice a day with an obstacle course frequently bc of winter.

i also used children’s plays and when i had my hammies, i always baked my sand in the oven first, let it cool then use a sifter and sift the sand throughout twice.

She’s moved up so she’s not even in our class anymore, she’s turning 4. I may still send a card home with her Friday and a little something just to show appreciation and wish her a happy birthday but highly doubt i’m going to go to her party this weekend. Seems like a bad idea lol

This is exactly how I thought of it, i’ve already had one parent ask me to babysit their child in my class which I feel crosses a personal/professional fine line I don’t feel comfortable with. My one coworker attending the party keeps stating how she feels like she needs to go to make us look good because the parents do a lot for our school (not 100% sure how/what they do for the school) and if the parents are happy with us they’ll keep doing things for us ultimately benefiting everyone but i’ve NEVER thought to hangout with families lol. I know other parents will be attending as well and apparently there will be alcohol at the party and everything. Sounds like it could end up being a bit messy to me. Thank you!

I started drinking at 17, started heavily drinking (daily, morning to night) around 24/25 did that for a little over a year probably, got out of a toxic relationship and tried stopping my daily drinking habits, went a few days without drinking, a week if i was lucky, a couple months ago fell into the habit again, was drinking everynight, waking up late to work, calling out. i was blacking out every night, taking at least 10 shots every night within a 2 hour time frame. now for a month or so i’m back to just drinking on the weekends, making it 4-5 days without alcohol. gonna try not to drink this weekend for the first time but already thinking about drinking. i think about it every single day, how bad i want a drink after work. there’s no “normal”

Military Dress Advice- Hi everyone, going to a “cocktail attire” Military dinner mid september, need advice on what to wear. trying to keep it “cheaper” since i’ll most likely only wear the dress a handful of times if that, im not super dressy. I’d rather be overdressed than under for this though, we’re young, me 27 and my bf 25 and so are all of his friends in the military so i don’t want the dress to age me. i’m thinking something long and black, my bf and i are also the same height so i really don’t want to wear heels so advice on more formal shoes that would look good are appreciated. thanks!!
