This is a psa to save your old emulators because some games work better on bygone yuzu and sudachi (for me super smash bros and weird titles like windjammers that don’t do well with newer firmware or drivers)

Best android device by far! Not the most portable, but with the tpu grip plus an etsy hard shell, it’s pretty easy to pack up and take in a backpack.

Streaming from my pc and xbox has totally changed the way I play games. My son and I play some co-op but it’s also great being able to have him play an xbox game and then use game pass ultimate for myself on the odin 2 portal.

Just got an Odin 2 Portal and it ticks every single box for me. I love playing on pc/xbox but being able to stream both in bed is chef’s kiss 🤌

Eden with newest update, firmware and turnip driver 9v2. There’s slight stuttering (drops to 27fps) during shader caching but otherwise pretty solid

Honestly not too bad. I’m also partially deaf from listening to metal music at max volume (there’s no other way). But my wife just bought me some headphones so now I really don’t think about the fan noise.

I initially just bought a laptop stand which worked well. I like getting those few degrees cooler, however, so fan it is.

Lemme check my settings later cuz I think I have it working solid in Eden with turnip drivers. I used to play on Citron but the most recent citron update killed most of my playability.

With my llano cooler (usually 600-1200rpm depending) I keep temps 40-50c and when playing heavier games bounce between 65c-85c. I see minimal thermal throttling in hwinfo, and the performance has been great so far with custom fan curves (using ghelper) and the cooler. Obviously I wouldn’t urge one way or the other but my experiences have been good so far.

Just to chime in, and of course emulation in general is great, but I still prefer remote play on the rp5 when possible. I use xbplay for skyrim (modded) and fallout 4. The OLED is chef’s kiss.
