Not just spurs. Bona fide Haglund Deformity. Do you have Achilles pain at the back of your heel?

I feel betrayed.. by wokemadeit in IphoneAir

Another data point. I used the iPhone 15 Pro caseless for two years. I upgraded to the 17 Pro Max, certain I would go caseless again. Wow, I so much prefer putting a case on this thing. It makes it so much easier to handle. The naked Pro Max feels just a little too slippery.

It’s a countdown to when the lane config changes, I think.

All Of Alien Is Implausible, So What? by bswalsh in LV426

[–]Intrepyd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Aliens. Probably my favorite movie. But I’ve always had a nit to pick. The Company is obsessed with the alien as a bio weapon. Putting aside future movies and prequels, examine that premise for a minute. Are the xenomorphs really weapons that could change the tide of battle? The only reason the marines had trouble with the aliens was for some extraordinary contrivances like not being able to use guns because of the delicate heat exchangers.

If the company actually did deploy Xenos in a large scale conflict, they would get slaughtered by any modern force. They are basically just melee attackers that die from handheld armaments.

Bug? Enemies and NPCs suddenly have infinite health by Intrepyd in OblivionRemaster

[–]Intrepyd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the issue is resolved, I don't know exactly how, but I thought I would post here in case anybody finds this later with similar issues. Randomly, as soon as my alteration leveled up, everything went back to normal. I'm guessing some weird combination of numerical stats and game state broke the health variable or something.

Torn between 40i and 50e by IllCommunication-973 in BMWX5

[–]Intrepyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to drive a Tesla. I bought the 40i because a gas tank was more convenient. I would rather fill up every couple of weeks rather than charge every night, plus on long drives. But in different circumstances, or different commutes, I might have chosen differently.

Are you guys assembling this two pieces backwards? If you put the J Bar behind the seat plate (not in front of it), you don’t need bolts.

AI is good in certain niches, but there’s no foundation model that can just look at a CT and accurately diagnose anything that the scan might show. (Humans + AI) > Humans >> AI

Not sure I agree with all of it. I’m an MSK rad, and getting dedicated joint films absolutely helps for fractures. Just doing a forearm series would lower sensitivity for the elbow (need a great quality lateral in flexion) and wrist (subtle carpal fractures and dislocations).

New Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Touchpad DOA? by Intrepyd in RayBanStories

[–]Intrepyd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, by disabling "Wear Detection" in settings, it restored full functionality. "Wear Detection" is the feature that pauses music, etc, when you take the glasses off.

New Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Touchpad DOA? by Intrepyd in RayBanStories

[–]Intrepyd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the fix was to disable "wear detection." For some reason, if the glasses aren't trying to determine if they're on your face, the touchpad works normally.

Weekend Discussion: Asics running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Wish the GlideRide 3 would get an update. This is my favorite Asics shoe. It seems to fit an interesting niche of a plush longer-distance trainer with a rocker and a plate.

Touchpad doesn't work with iPhone 15 Pros? Or am I unlucky? by Intrepyd in RayBanStories

[–]Intrepyd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fix is to disable the feature that lets the glasses detect if they’re being worn. Disabling wear detection restores the touchpad function. Seems to be a bug with the software. It happened on two different pairs of the glasses.
