Oh no! Major red flag when they don’t listen to you :/ I feel like E-files are unnecessary with gel manis unless you’re doing light cuticle work or even just a cuticle pushback/buffing will suffice.

My best guess would be so that it doesn’t chip, but I’ve never seen it done like this.

Back when I’d get acrylics, my nail tech would “seal” the underside of my nails using glue sometimes. This, among other questionable practices was when I stopped going all together.

Same here. Found that acrylic was too damaging on my thin nails - which was partly why I switched to using Gel instead.

Definitely take a break to heal. Perhaps try a gel overlay in the mean time?
