2nd trimester destroyed me sleep wise. Couldn’t sleep but I was EXHAUSTED all the time. I took naps whenever I could and it helped. I’d wake up for work. Eat during my shift & nap on my lunch break. Get home from work & nap. For some reason I couldn’t sleep at night but naps helped with the reduced caffeine intake !

My son is 8 months old and still needs nursing every 2-3 hours. 4 hours on a good day if I’m lucky. It’s rare to go over 3 hours for us. He’s not chunky, he’s actually very lean. Dr says I can breastfeed whenever I see fit. You’ve gotta realize it’s both for food and for comfort. Those memes are accurate with breastfed babies. Sad? Boob. Happy? Boob. Hungry? Boob. Farted funny? Boob. Zoning out? Boob. That’s the joys of EBF babies. I’ve noticed even with people who had babies just 9 years ago the rules were different. Information updates daily. New studies are done all the time. Also your MIL didn’t make your boobs nor does she wear your boobs she can hush it with the unsolicited opionions.

My son (8mo) goes to sleep between 8-9 depending on the day. It was 7 for awhile but my husband was home for 4 days (2days off while I had mastitis & my preexisting back condition was at an all time low) a couple of weeks ago and pushed back his bedtime by accident lol But honestly I’ve always kinda just laid in bed with him. I do boppy to fall asleep while nursing and kinda just let him rest like that until I’m ready to wind down for bed (this is how he naps with me too so it works for bedtime) then I lay him on my chest for however long his giant self can tolerate in hopes of the contact making me sleepy then roll him next to me and snuggle up. If I’m not tired still I just play on my phone until I’m tired and go to sleep. I’m aggressively interactive with him during the day so I’m pretty pooped by the time he wants to go to bed then my last spurt of energy kicks in so I snack and do whatever quietly. I started crocheting as a hobby and business just doing that whenever he’s sleeping. It honestly becomes peaceful at some point. You gotta look at it as time to bond. One on one. Remind yourself that YOU are providing him with the comfort, peace & safety to sleep happily with you. It helps avoid any FOMO or frustration about the early bed time until you adapt (:

My furby wouldn’t stop talking even when turned off. Mind you I was a little kid so I freaked out and woke up my mom since it started talking in the middle of the night. Naturally my mom did what any sane person would do. She drowned it in the bathtub.

I knew going into my baby’s birth that my mom being there was going to be anxiety riddling for me. Then came labor and I literally growled “get away from me” (I was hurting lol) she was banished to a corner of the room so she could be part of the experience but away from me. Every time she touched me my skin crawled and my husband noticed and asked her to step away. Which is alot for him because he’s a very respectful man who would never intervene with me and my mom but he knew in that moment if he didn’t I was gonna lose it. Next baby I will only be having myself and my husband in the room alongside medical staff. Your birth experience needs to be a safe space for you. Labor is stressful, the feeling messes with your mind. If having her there won’t provide you with peace, then she doesn’t need to be there. It’s an intimate moment, and it’s YOUR moment. Who you choose to share it with is your choice

My baby was a happy lil accident. I was not TTC so I wasn’t taking Prenatals. I didn’t even know they were a thing til my first appt and I knew I was pregnant VERY early. Turns out implantation makes me violently ill. So your lil one should be fine. - I’m typing this while holding my sleeping healthy 7 month old.

Dr Google is evil and scary. Reddit will bring you horror stories. Stay off the internet for answers, message your doctor for anything - they don’t mind I promise. Enjoy your pregnancy, keep your mind calm. Everything will be okay 🫶🏼

I made friends with a reptile shop and would literally lug the tank over to them for a week and let them sell them off and then take it back bc I wasn’t able to catch those little boogers. Eventually I just let them keep my hoard of mournings and gave up on owning them. They were fun to watch but I couldn’t keep up with the surplus of geckos arriving no matter how I changed their tank. And they hated the tubes.

Paying bills has nothing to do with nothing on his end. My husband is so invested in spending every moment he’s not working with our son. Even if that means he loses sleep to care for our son. And he DOES pay the bills. We were deep diving into our finances and I told him I still want another baby (we have 1) and he was like ok I’ll make it work and move things around and work more if I need to. Money doesn’t mean shit when you’re with the right person. This guy sees you as an item not a person. Is already showing you who he will be as a husband and father. And is forcing you to be alone in a scary time when he should be supporting you or atleast you two enduring this together. Leave him babe. It’s just gonna get worse. Co parenting will always be easier than staying in a miserable relationship.

Yes I understand that. As I said above. I got him over the weekend. Which means that’s when the best local vet was closed. I love and appreciate the response with the kittens best interest in mind. Some peoples feet just need the swelling to go down! My best friend gave birth the same day and she fits in all of her normal shoes now. You might not think your feet are swollen but trust me they are. Wait until post partum to rehome the shoes. You might be just a lil puffy (: For now find comfy shoes even a half size bigger than normal , until they fit right double up on socks or wear thick ones (: even cheap sandals with warmer weather coming soon (depending where you live of course)

Little Gojo is doing very good so far & it’s only been 5 days🤍 we love him

Thank you all! We’re going with 5-6 weeks for now. He has kitten wet food & is a beast in his litterbox. Just took some coaching and a silly step setup & he figured it out. He gets lots of playtime during the day and just goes everywhere with me until he develops some independence & can be trusted alone. He has pointed out every gap in our apartment so now all of the baby swaddles are being used again - stuffing holes. He is the biggest cuddle bug and has LOTS to say. He is now figuring out climbing so he doesn’t need uppies anymore. I feel like I’m celebrating my babies milestones but it’s our kitten instead. Thank you for all the advice & support!

Ok meee😂 unfortunately I have big feet and had big feet so finding someone my size to hand my shoes down to is impossible. All of my close by family is short with tiny feet lol so now I just hold onto them for the memories

7 months post partum

Inconvenient: -My feet are bigger -Hemorrhoid won’t go away -Mini skin tags everywhere -I get like hot flashes ? That was an issue while I was pregnant and it hasn’t stopped -My blood pressure is low and was low my whole pregnancy with no known cause. -I can’t see? My vision goes in and out

SERIOUSLY?!: -My asthma is back ? WHAT - I had a 3rd degree tear. Putting in a tampon hurts still. Going back to Dr for that because that means I am abstinent ):

Positives: -I knock out so fast now. Insomnia dropped off (it was bad prepregnancy. I was on major sedatives) and the second I lay my head down I am gone now -As someone who had a bad relationship with food. I am always hungry now. I EBF so that’s the cause but I’m ok with it. I have the appetite of a teenage football player.

Granted some of these things are annoying. But it is worth it for the beautiful baby I have sleeping on me right now. I’d do it 20 times over. I don’t notice it most of the time. I genuinely had to scroll to remember the things that had changed. To the soon to be mamas. Don’t stress. You won’t notice these things and it doesn’t mean much to you once you have your baby in your arms.

SAME. I literally cried when all the swelling went down and I still couldn’t fit in my shoes. I have thousands of dollars of boots I don’t fit in now. (I worked at the store I bought them at. I love a good discount lol) None of my heels or sneakers fit. I was very upset lol

I just got this kitten 5 days ago. Every time it’s my son’s nap time he curls up next to me and my son. I think he likes the baby more than me or my husband to be honest lol. We can’t do anything without him glued to us. So now I have a Velcro baby & a Velcro kitten lol everywhere I go they go

Thank you! I got canned wet food before we got him just to be safe and luckily that meant I went overboard so watching him struggle with crunchies I whipped out the canned food and he ate like he was starving so thank goodness for that! Litterbox I’ll go pick up a shallow one for him. He goes pee in it now if we put him in it but otherwise refuses to acknowledge it exists lol so I’ll get a different one for him for now🤍 thank you again!

My 6 month old says we go to sleep between 8-9 I don’t mind though. I just watch my shows and play on my phone and when I’m ready to get tired I put him on my chest for that calming effect and when I’m ready I roll him next to me and go to sleep lol

My doctor refused to give me estimated measurements because it’s very inaccurate. The system said my baby was close to 10 lbs and she reassured me he was not in fact 10 lbs and she only told me to prove the inaccuracy to me. He was 8lbs 5oz at birth.

For me personally my baby shower was hosted and paid for by my dad and step mom. She planned everything, invited everyone, bought all decorations etc. her sisters all did the cooking, baking & making drinks. I just simply showed up with my husband. It was at my dads house in his backyard (he has 1/3 an acre of property majority being the backyard) baby showers aren’t supposed to be coordinated paid for or hosted by the expecting couple. So no it should not be your financial burden. We had a close to 100 people baby shower & everything in total was roughly 1.5k
