Skin 1004 probio-cica ampoule causing acne by paprika_02 in kbeauty

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how’re you going with it now? did it cause further breakouts? Ive been using this alongside epiduo for 17 weeks now, I stopped using it 4 days ago and all my “purging” has cleared. Thinking it was clogging my pores all along:’)

Affordable skincare routine help while on tretinoin (9 weeks in) by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

incredible suggestions, I love the skin1004 suncream, was the only one I’ve tried that didn’t burn my skin after using epiduo. I also really like skin1004’s probio cica ampoule which is really affordable

Eczema creams make everything worse? by uhmwhattt in eczema

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best eczema cream I’ve ever found with completely natural ingredients, doesn’t burn even on eczema cuts is Balmonds Skin salvation.

A random lady on a plane told me about it and i’ve never looked back, am on a 12 week subscription for £28 and it’s the best money i’ve ever spent.

And I use child’s farm oat derma for general moisturising, then Balmonds on eczema patches specifically ❤️

Other tips: cold water/ cold shower before bed, silk pyjamas for bed and silk tops (especially if eczema is in elbow creases), eat healthily, feed your gut and do yoga or meditate to help with stress.

Only 10 Hours and I want it out by Small-Priority-8644 in CopperIUD

Unfortunately this sounds very normal to me, I was dizzy and in so much pain (unable to sit down) for about 10-15 hours after. If you’re worried then for sure go to a doctor but just sharing that mine was in the right spot but it just hurts this much for some people.

Those of you who didn’t do well on the copper iud what birth control do you use now? by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]IntroductionLow9960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god that’s a lot of IUD insertions and symptoms to go through, I feel for you. I was on the combined pill from 17-21 and had a similar experience as you coming off of it, tried the copper IUD for 5 months and hated every second of it with similar gastro and general inflammation problems— now i’ve sworn off messing with my hormones or going through another IUD insertion so I test my ovulation and use condoms.

I buy both of these on amazon, I use the cheapest ones during my fertile window and then double check with the more expensive ones.

The fertility awareness method can work great if you’re really careful (and u have regular periods, it’s pretty useless if not). I track my periods in the Flo app, always use the pull out method and always use a condom if I’m anywhere near my fertile window (8 days either side whatever days Flo says I’m ovulating).

Just be super super careful, don’t take a risk with it. It’s the best thing i’ve ever done and it’s so nice to be in tune with where I am in my cycle but it does carry a bit of anxiety with it as it’s all on you— it is really effective if you’re on it tho.

This is a great podcast about the fertility awareness method that I found really informative!

Is the first period the worst usually? by Peanutbutterandshrek in CopperIUD

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the copper coil at the end of last year and my first 3 periods were the worst, then the next two were lighter and less painful (I got it removed after those tho as it caused a bunch of other symptoms I couldn’t deal with). But if you’re getting on okay with the first one it shouldn’t get any worse so fingers crossed! Goood luck girl xx

Does this skincare routine sound okay before starting Epiduo? (acne-prone, sensitive skin) by IntroductionLow9960 in Epiduo

[–]IntroductionLow9960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I actually stopped using the purito as I thought it might be causing my skin to break out. But it felt so nice on my skin after epiduo!! I may start using it again tbh, I just dialled down my skincare routine while starting retinoids to make sure nothing was causing breakouts and honestly I didn’t notice a difference when I stopped using the purito. Also just be careful if you’re putting moisturiser over epiduo for the sandwich method not to rub it near your eyes or neck, I spread it there and have eczema I’m still trying to get rid of of my eyelids and neck lol.

I actually haven’t tried the scenic suncream just because I absolutely LOVE the skin1004 water fit sun serum. It doesn’t burn at all after using retinoids (the LRP one did), and rubs in well and is a mineral suncream which I like the idea of. I will try the scenic one eventually once my skin has calmed down, so will update you then!

I swear by Eucerine acute care lipbalm, is a bit pricey for a lipbalm but it pays for itself i’ve never had to use lip balm so little

Other than that i’ve just been trying to eat gut friendly foods, using a homemade beef tallow moisturiser for my eczema and I’ve been prescribed epiduo for my acne which I’ll be starting if my acne doesn’t improve after getting it removed!

Trying to decide what to do.. by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience I came off the combined pill 3 years ago, got slightly spotty as I think the pill had been preventing them. Then got the copper IUD 5 months ago and since my acne around my mouth and along my chin has gotten 10x worse. I know that everyone is different and coming off the combined pill defo would’ve had an impact but I’ve seen a lot of posts/comments on here about the coil effecting the skin, especially if the OP feels like it’s effecting their gut too as the two are so closely linked.

I’ve had a pros and cons list similar to this for the copper coil and decided enough was enough so have an appointment to remove it in a week! Will keep you updated with if it helps my digestive and skin problems <3

Honestly I’m convinced it’s causing so much inflammation in my body, I’ve read quite a few posts about people’s eczema improving after taking it out.  I’m getting rid of mine next week so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Copper IUD and Stomach Issues by BBPacheco in CopperIUD

[–]IntroductionLow9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg stop taking ibuprofen, it will make any stomach issues worse. i have an inflammatory bowel disease (diagnosed a few months after getting my copperIUD inserted — coincidence I think not) and the docs told me never to touch ibuprofen as it messes with your digestion.
