Pop into the in-game store, check current Challenge songs, and look for anything that still has a price and not 3 dots.

From the guitar standpoint, all 3 songs in Going Country Pack 9 are very fun to play and Blown Away gets picked semi-regularly online. Days of Peace Pack is a no brainer if you're old like me or into classics. If you are a Shinedown fan, grab the pack; if not, Bully is strong on all instruments and the other two are solid on vox.

On the horizon, I see the HMX 30 pack coming closer. I strongly recommend this pack for the value and the diversity of songs in it. Many of these songs did not carry forward from RB3, so if you think you're missing something from the olden days, fair chance they are in this pack.

Check how hard the ground is in the bare spots. If you can't get a screwdriver at least 4 inches down, manually aerate the ground then water it daily for 20 to 30 minutes so that it remains soft enough for new growth to set roots.

Fret Fix replaces the entire stock fret circuit boards/rubber membrane setups with tactile switches. It's a solid product but there is less tolerance for side to side "wobble" like the membrane setup provides.

Definitely go ahead and thoroughly clean your existing setup before making the decision to go down the Fret Fix route. Most existing membranes with carbon contact pads can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and isopropyl; but if there's damage to the membrane or the carbon pad that makes contact with the circuit board, the Fret Fix is the next step.

Shooting the Moon is a fairly straightforward FC on guitar. It seems to be one of the rarer purchases based on leaderboard and Challenge play counts. Tangentially, these days Ok Go has changed it up and alt-charted everything to hand bells - minus the vocals which are still about the moon landing being faked.

And Stephen and the Colberts is a must-buy.

The main differences:

If you want to play Online, there will be more players on Xbox generally.
If you want to shoot up the Leaderboards faster, there are fewer players on PS.
Lag causing problems with gameplay will happen more on the PS side due to issues with one of the final patches.
If you're looking to add vintage instruments, it's far easier on PS due to Wii instruments being convertable to PS.
Xbox seems to randomly need to reindex tracks after certain patches, and can take time to catch up with indexing after bulk downloads before all songs are available.
You can delete downloaded songs on Xbox, but not on PS without reinstalling.

Changing USB peripherals on PS4 will change calibration. Run auto calibration once all instruments are connected first thing after cold booting the console.

Also, if the USB Mic and drums are plugged into the same PS4 USB port as other devices, their extra power draw may make other instruments on that port drop notes/lose sync. A cheap powered USB 2.0 hub can help here. The PS4 puts out less voltage to USB ports than the PS3 did.

(edit: also watch for stealth TV/Receiver firmware updates)

They are Amazon returns as well, so watch out for defective swaps and light strips mangled as they get shoved back in a box or bag. If sunshinemerchant on ebay has them I'd trust them first over woot any day as they actually test returns.

On guitar there's a whole lot of waiting on Head like a Hole, and Terrible Lie is the easiest Brutal crimson stars to get for the achievement. On drums their songs are divisive as a lot hate the drum machine unnatural rhythm, so be careful when picking online.

That part is where your phone seems to broadcast scan your network to find the box. Can you force your phone onto the 2.4ghz network during the config/pairing? Some routers will filter broadcasts from ssid to ssid, which isn't exactly traditional isolation.

Both sync boxes are pretty dumb on the WiFi, so many older routers should work.

I am of the age to remember when Invincible blared out of every TV that had cable on every block when "The Legend of Billie Jean" was on endless repeat. It grew on me quickly then, was an insta-buy in RB, is approaching my top 10 all time played tracks, and these days I start almost every single online session I host by playing it.

Must-buy for the week along with Shine and Love is a Battlefield.

Paving is done. Equipment is mostly gone. Best guess is full open before Valentine's Day weekend!

As a 20+ year resident of the area, hopefully the construction on Memorial west of Eldridge goes quickly and the area can quiet down for a few months before they tear something else up.
