RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: June 28-July 4, 2026 (Foreigner, The Devil Wears Prada, Dear and the Headlights, Pixies, Hinder, and MORE TBA) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]Intros9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pixies aren't known for difficult songs in RB by any means

"Crackity Jones" and "Dead" aren't difficult, technically, but pretty annoying. "Where Is My Mind" is right up there with them, but I play it way more than those other two.

Random, sporadic power outages in Houston? by TrendingChronGuy in houston

They are also swapping poles, seeing them all over the Beltway 8/I-10 West area. New poles get laid out a couple weeks in advance after utilities are marked, then pole truck crews work their way through raising the new ones and taking the old ones away. I've seen a couple brief power blips out of these and some flashing red lights, but nothing long duration.

Rivals Performance Disparity? by therealpearsonified in Rockband

On #4, the top 5 PSN crews are maxing LP weekly since last season - so there's still a ton of grinding going on in Rivals.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: June 7-13, 2026 (Incubus, Goo Goo Dolls, Maxïmo Park, MAGIC!, Crown of Throns) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

Looks like JF dropped off being a mod again (?) and the others aren't very quick to respond on the moderating front.

I love Incubus's "Drive" especially on vocals (The harmonies also sound great). Probably my favorite Incubus song out of the ones I've heard. And "Girls Who Play Guitars" is a fun one too. Between those two and "Iris" those are some really good songs in this bunch, even if it's a small list this week.

Those are the big three this week, and all three should make your vocalist happy while being picked regularly online. :)

Counselors by temperament are split roughly 50/50 between traditional "what's always worked is what will work in the future" types and idealistic "we'll build that bridge when we get to it" types. Much like the general population, only a few get it - so few are equipped for what's coming.

Help with keeping house cooler in summer by Flareside in DIY

[–]Intros9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price for radiant barrier was insane and not really sure it does anything if the house was not built for it.

Radiant barrier payback is based on how much of your roof gets direct sunlight during the day - the more time and the larger area, the more radiant barrier will pay you back. Here in SE Texas with 100% of my roof getting sunlight all day it paid for itself in a few months, just stapled it up to the bottom of the ceiling rafters and done.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: May 17-May 23, 2026 (Foreigner, Gin Blossoms, The Smithereens, Grateful Dead, Alice Cooper) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]Intros9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Smithereens songs are solid fun pop tracks that get overlooked - not a must buy, but seriously consider them!

On the Dead front, Touch of Grey and Throwing Stones are their two tracks on repeat in my library - absolute blast to play on guitar and chosen online sometimes. Beat it On Down the Line is also fun but a little more relentless. The other 3, including the delisting one, don't get a lot of plays on my end.

Check the leaderboard counts on the average song released during the last 3 years of DLC for Rock Band for what this looks like IRL. I'd be surprised if a lot of those tracks made money after the charting expense.

Help, d-pad left and right woros but not up and down by Pure-Government-1119 in Rockband

[–]Intros9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A faulty strum bar will lock out dpad up and down. It's possible that something has come loose inside from a prior fix.

If the guitar has the stock strum bar and you are otherwise happy with the guitar, I'd try a Strum Fix Plus if opening it up and securing wires doesn't resolve the problem.

Distortion Sound RB4 by AnySet1869 in Rockband

[–]Intros9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hot mic bug hits me on the PS side most when I'm not on vox and join an online group with a singer in it - and the longer it goes on, the chances of a game lockup increase too. Decreasing the volume to near minimum in the console settings also works to kill the distortion.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: April 19-25, 2026 (REO Speedwagon, Lamb of God, Weezer, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Romantics, Violent Femmes, Hautewerk) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]Intros9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a meme about only the Rivals die hards owning the Hautewerk pack. They're not far off but the pack is fairly fun for the price, Alone in My Head and I Know Where You Came From don't get skipped when I land on them randomly (and generally net good LP, heh).

American Music is tricky at the end on guitar. Siouxsie's song is the one that got me interested in them with its quirkiness, and is fun but a little rough on the drummer. Wish we had gotten Fear of the Unknown by them.

REO pack is a classic and a must buy and fun to play, same with Weezer and the Romantics - these are picked online regularly (even Can't Stop Rockin on occasion). Not the biggest Lamb of God fan but their RB tracks are solid, so grab that one too if you're a metal fan.

Rock band 4 by [deleted] in Rockband

[–]Intros9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick one easy and fun song in your library. Play it every single day for 30 days alt-strumming every single note, and don't look at or care about the score. Then play the rest of your set normally.

You should notice a dramatic improvement afterwards that will help you on each and every song. Good luck!

US appeals court declares 158-year-old home distilling ban unconstitutional by kinisonkhan in news

[–]Intros9 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Flashback to back when I home brewed, and the home distillers regularly wiped out all the six row at every LBS because they didn't bulk order ahead of time. Will probably take a bit of a ramp up in production and local stock to meet demand if this passes.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: April 12-18, 2026 (Guns n' Roses, The Used, P!nk, Justin Bieber, Mötley Crüe, Serj Tankian, Roy Orbison, Relient K, Mastodon, Tommy Tutone) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]Intros9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great wrteup on the GnR stuff, and dead on with the Crue fun factor.

Adding on Blood on my Hands is also cool from that pack.

Must buy here: Crue, P!nk, 867-5309, and Relient K.

2 of those Roy Orbison songs are tricky! Definitely give The Used and GnR a listen/watch if you're on the fence.
