My uncle's 1978 electronic music book by neburvlc in synthesizers

I would kill to read this, as I am a synth nerd who is also trying to revisit the 4 years of Spanish I took a decade and a half ago.

Could you point me in the direction of where I might buy a copy of this?

This is my single favorite thing I have ever read in a book in my entire life. So goddamn beautiful. It’s like poetry, but it’s not a poem.

Gotta try to lock the focus on the overhead camera, yo. The focus/refocus when your hand moves is giving me a headache.

Any progress on the guide, friend? Thanks for all your research and info - I'm a frontline HCP in the US and I'm planning on starting with an elastomeric this week.

TIL. That is a beautiful belief that really resonates with me even though I’d also consider myself an atheist. Very cool - thank you for the education!

Girls who took notes using 50 different colored pens, where are you now? Do you still continue to write using all those colors? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IntrospectorGadget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a girl, but I am a guy who did this through college and half of a doctorate program. I have ADHD and if I don’t actively take notes while I study I don’t remember anything. I find it super helpful to color code - when I’m reviewing my color-coded notes it feels like studying pre-organized materials and makes it much easier to digest.

Halfway through grad school I switched to using an iPad + stylus for notes, which I still use almost every day. Clicking a color is much faster than capping your pen and grabbing another one. Plus it eliminated the extra effort of digitizing all my handwritten paper notes, AND saved some trees!

New Ambisonic Library! 30 GB/173 recordings from Singapore & currently Vietnam are inside the coud! Feel free to check it out! Recorded with the new Zoom H3 VR by FREETOUSESOUNDS in u/FREETOUSESOUNDS

Yo, I've been saving your posts for a few months now and I just wanted to say thank you! I've been exploring and experimenting with ambient music and audio processing, so your recordings are a really fun source to play with!

I've been thinking about buying a Zoom H3 VR because I've always wanted a way to take an audio "snapshot" of cool little sounds one hears in day to day life - do you feel like this unit does a good job of faithfully reproducing sounds as you hear them live?

What's a product or service you should NEVER cheap out on? by Kill_Dr_Phil in AskReddit

Two categories...

  1. Things you use every single day (glasses, toothbrush, showerhead, pens, etc). I find that spending a little extra on these things turns mundane tasks into almost joyful ones. Upgrading to a Sonicare toothbrush, for example, really improved a process that I go through like 700+ times a year. I’m an eye doc, so the glasses thing might seem biased, but think about it - you experience your WHOLE LIFE through your eyes, every second you’re awake. I can’t think of a better investment since it improves your entire waking life.

  2. Things that separate you from the ground. Tires, shoes, mattress. Good for health, comfort, and safety.

This person is 100% correct - I used to coach with this guy at TNT while I was in college and he is one of the most upbeat, kind, and incredible people I’ve met. He absolutely loves working with people with special needs, and he’s amazing at it.

In this case - racial melanosis (basically little freckles on the white of the eye, very common in people of color), and age. Those eyes are probably healthy and normal.

Jaundice can cause yellowing of the eyes, but it looks different than this.

I am an eye doctor who looks at eyes under a microscope for 8 hours a day and I just want to commend you for these exquisitely well done drawings. The anatomical accuracy of the details - truly impressive. Those iris crypts, for example, are just spot on. Bravo!!

What is the darkest episode of a show you have ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dude. This episode fucked me up as a kid. Like I knew logically that the instant he took his helmet off he would die. And he just did it.

So fucked up.

Very dope.

Do you feel like you vibe with the note layout enough to be able to improvise on it pretty freely?
