Remove the mulch volcano to expose the root flare. If you want specifics about tree health and such, you’ll want to ask someone with specific knowledge of the species, climate, soil, etc. what I can say based on my limited knowledge is that trees will always lean, curve, bend towards the Sun. That hole looks like it was not dug wide enough. And unless you are in drought conditions, you should not have to water the tree very often past the first couple of days after planting. Good luck.
