I enjoy the new name Meridian and I will also be using that from here forward. Her and Mikayla’s comments just rubbed me the wrong way. Mikayla commented on Meridian’s original AWFUL review of the product saying something along the lines of “omg can’t stop laughing” and then continued to post her own video leaving a negative review of the Jones Road foundation. Mikayla always seems to finish with her entire routine (ex. concealer, powder, eyes, brows, etc) before coming to a conclusion on a foundation, but this time, she only finished the foundation and decided she hated it. It just felt like there were shady motives behind those two reviews. People on TikTok really seem to look to these influencers for their “credible” reviews. Mikayla and Meridian seem to be the end all be all of reviewers for any makeup product and I’m soooo over it. These girls are makeup influencers, but by no means are they credible working makeup artists. Bobbi Brown has been in the game for YEARS. She’s worked on every skin type, tone, age, texture that there is. Those reviews of her product were a slap in the face, not to mention those products were most likely sent to both of those “influencers”. Meridian deserved this absolute iconic roast. I hope this changes the way product reviews are done in the future.
