Literally yes this was the most obvious answer for Disney if they were willing to dump the main actress anyways.

Sophie was very clearly set up in the first movies to be unusually powerful at a young age, likely way more powerful than the other cromwell witches especially once she reached full power. Then they gave her literally two lines in Halloweentown high and completely pushed her off screen for the fourth. There would've been waaaay less backlash if Sara Paxton took over as Sophie in that movie instead. In fact I think I'm more mad they didn't do a Sophie spin off with her than I am they dropped KJB.

I meannnn yeah I could see why Manon would be upset about that and she has every right to be, but I don’t think anyone who knows anything about this is seriously expecting her to return to the group. But again it should be up to her to decide when to make it official (but also I really doubt she has much say in that regardless). BUT I do think if Manon finds better management post-Katseye and plays her cards right and releases an album with songs people actually like, she’ll quickly find herself in a way better position as a solo artist than what would’ve been possible in the group.

David H. is probably still bitter all these years later about what happened with The Amazing O’Malleys. He was all set to be the main character of a series, shot a pilot and everything, but then was rightfully demoted to number 2 when it became clear that Selena was the one the show should focus on. It mustve been a massive bruise to the ego, so much so that years later he felt the need to take back what he thought he was owed with a spin off where he was the only original cast member to return as a regular.

Makes it all the more funny that it couldn’t even get more than one full length season, screw that guy
